How Can 'The Real Housewives' Save Chestnut on '2 Broke Girls'? (VIDEO)

'2 Broke Girls' (Mon., 8:30PM ET on CBS) dealt with reality this week by finally acknowledging that there is no way these girls can take care of Chestnut through the winter. It was a genuinely heartfelt realization for both the characters and the viewers. We've grown to love Chestnut as much as the girls, and we don't want to imagine the show without him either. Luckily, thanks to Max's second job babysitting for that vapid rich woman, Peach Landis, an opportunity arose. Peach is trying to compete with a best friend to get cast on the latest spin-off, 'The Real Housewives of Tribeca.' Taking in disgraced multi-millionaire Caroline Channing's poor horse might be just the thing to put her over the edge. //

Caroline Loses Her Holiday Spirit on '2 Broke Girls' (VIDEO)

It's always been hard to believe that Caroline could remain so relentlessly perky considering what the character's been through. This week, though, we finally got a glimpse of what losing everything and everyone she's ever known has done to her emotionally on '2 Broke Girls' (Mon., 8:30PM ET on CBS), and it was about damned time. Now I don't want Caroline moping around every week -- as that appears to be Max's job -- but she does need to work through these emotions from time to time at least during her first year as part of the working class. Kudos to her for taking a bad situation (can't afford new mixer) and turning it into a potentially winning one. //

Nick Zano Talks '2 Broke Girls' Love Triangle

The holidays are upon us, which means that cupcake connoisseurs Max (Kat Dennings) and Caroline (Beth Behrs) will try to cash in on the spirit of the season on " 2 Broke Girls ." But, in addition to Max figuring out a way to make more money, she’s also struggling with the fact that she’s really into her pal Johnny (Nick Zano). The big problem still is that he has a lady named Cash. Max has a lot of Cash problems, it seems. "You gotta give it time. You have to let the rest of the season unfold," Nick told us recently about his love triangle on the show. "I can’t say what’s going to happen. For the most part I don’t know, but the kind of fun part of Max and Johnny is the culmination of the writers all sharing stories about the things that occurred in their lives. And so Max and Johnny are kind of the Crock-Pot of all the writers’ moments in their lives and situations they’ve been in in sort of a Johnny and Max dynamic." Read More... //

Nick Zano Calls Kat Dennings The J.D. Salinger Of '2 Broke Girls'

Week after week on the CBS series "2 Broke Girls," Kat Denning's cupcake-making waitress Max slings some of the sassiest lines on the small screen, displaying her biting wit and been-there-done-that attitude. She's so good at being so feisty, we had to ask her co-star and on-screen love interest Nick Zano if she's anything like that in real life. "From the very first moment I met Kat, literally shaking hands, we shook hands [and] I'm like, 'Alright, I got you,' and she's like, 'I kind of get you,' and it worked," he told MTV News. "We were very comfortable working together, which is very nice. She's extremely talented, but that’s not new news. She's like a recluse, which is really interesting. Kat's a recluse. She's the J.D. Salinger of '2 Broke Girls.'" Of course, working on a show like "2 Broke Girls" means not only trading barbs (and kisses) with Kat, but also working with "Sex and the City" creator Michael Patrick King. "Well, first and foremost, Michael is instantly given immediate respect, and he's one of those people that if you do have the good fortune of working with him professionally that if you remove your ego and yourself from the equation [and] literally just shut the f--- up and listen, you'll walk away with a ton of knowledge that you hadn’t had prior," he said of the TV legend. "He'll give you these small notes and these small notes [make you go], 'Wow, that’s a big lesson. That’s the beauty of MPK. He's a genius. He's a mad genius." In addition to the star power, Nick was drawn to the show's immediate likability. "One of the things I noticed about the '2 Broke Girls' pilot was that it looked like a new episode in a season and not a pilot, and that’s an amazing sign," he said. "So I went in and read with Kat Dennings and Michael Patrick King, and I think from the first read together we did a chemistry read and it worked very well. And I respect the hell out of Michael Patrick King; the guy's an icon." Are you watching "2 Broke Girls"? Tell us in the comments and on Twitter ! //

Max Can't Help Herself, Keeps Kissing Johnny on '2 Broke Girls' (VIDEO)

Just as life hasn't been easy for Max up until this point, neither is love going to be an easy path. And just because a guy is nice and charming and clearly into you, doesn't mean he's going to dump his girlfriend so he can be with you. Max learned that hard lesson this week on '2 Broke Girls' (Mon., 8:30PM ET on CBS). Johnny keeps coming around, and Max is weak to his charms, but Johnny is apparently more than willing to keep Max on the side, and keep his girlfriend Cash as well. It's unclear whether Cash was aware of the situation, but she certainly dropped hints that she was. //
