'24': The Top 5 Villains

In our continuing countdown to -- sniff, sniff -- the '24' series finale on May 24 (8M ET, Fox), here's a our list of the all-time most villainous Jack Bauer foes. Nina Meyers (Played by Sarah Clarke) '24' seasons: 1-3 Why she's one of the bad guys: She was the first big traitorous villain in the series, betraying her co-workers and friends, committing numerous murders, dealing in biological weaponry and devastating every member of Jack Bauer's family. Most evil moment: Killing Teri Bauer at the end of season one. True, it was the moment that defined '24' as the show that was going to go beyond the limits of what we were used to expecting from TV dramas. But it was also incredibly cruel. Nina had already betrayed Jack and Tony (both of whom she had also had affairs with), CTU and her country, and after the brutal day Teri had already suffered, it was tragic that she and Jack's unborn baby wouldn't survive it. Hail to the Chiefs: A Final Salute to the Presidents of 24

After eight very long days, the many presidents featured on 24 are a complicated bunch. From David Palmer to Charles Logan to Allison Taylor, the drama series has created some of the most multilayered leaders ever to occupy the White House. We look back on the presidents who led the free world in which Jack Bauer allows us to live. President David Palmer, Day 2 and Day 3 Presidential candidate Palmer (Dennis Haysbert) survived an assassination attempt against him in Day 1 to take over the White House in Day 2. As president, Palmer brought Jack back to CTU, but also had to deal with a nuclear bomb threat and his brief removal from office thanks to the efforts of his vice president. In Day 3, Palmer's re-election hopes were on the line when Stephen Saunders used the Cordilla virus to hold the country hostage. After his one term in office and surviving not one, but two assassination attempts, Palmer was murdered in the opening moments of Season 5. To Read More Click Here .

Preview of '24' Series Finale

It's the end of an era when the groundbreaking and iconic action-packed series comes full circle with the climactic "Day Eight." On May 24, the Emmy-winning series "24" will air its very last episode in a two-hour finale taking place between "2:00 PM-4:00 PM". Emotions run high as the harrowing day climaxes with resolute President Taylor closing in on a world-changing peace treaty and a vengeful Jack Bauer taking matters into his own hands for one last and unforgettable job. Showrunner Howard Gordon gave a little hint about the finale in a press conference last week, saying "We tried on a couple of very different endings for size and the one we came to at the end is the one that felt just right. So it was not for lack of trying a couple of different ways. But we knew it when we saw it, that this was the right way to do it." He confirmed, "One thing we tried and didn't work was 'happily ever after' for Jack. ...This show is a tragedy, and so to give Jack a happy ending just didn't feel authentic," and continued, "And going out to where the end and what we can expect is the things that were aligning, which were basically Chloe versus Jack versus President Taylor - we're taking all these characters to places that we've never seen them before." Top Moments: The Truth Revealed on 24, Lost, and Vampire Diaries

Television told the truth this week. Brandy spoke her mind on The Amazing Race. Damon made his intentions clear on The Vampire Diaries. Laura Bush revealed some surprising opinions. Lost introduced us to Adam and Eve. And Betty White told it like it is on Saturday Night Live. Welcome to Top Moments: Straight Talk Edition. 10. Sorest Loser: Still bitter over being U-Turned on The Amazing Race by arch-enemies and third-place finishers Brent and Caite, Brandy lashes out at former Miss Teen USA contestant Caite at the final mat, souring Dan and Jordan's victory. "I don't want to hear sorry from you. You purposely whacked us," she snaps. Uh yeah, it's part of the game. 9. Best Wink: On Cougar Town, Travis is depressed when he realizes that he's only in one picture in his high school yearbook, and it's cropped weird to make him look like he's grasping the breasts of one of his teachers. Jules tries to reassure him, but then he finds her yearbook, which includes tons of pics of his mega-popular mom. "Is that you with Bruce Springsteen?" Travis asks. Cut to a photo of Courteney Cox on stage with the Boss (taken from his "Dancing in the Dark" video, in which Cox actually appears). Hey, baby! To Read More Click Here .

24': Cherry Jones talks about 'losing her marbles' as president

In anticipation of the 24 finale, EW talked exclusively to the Emmy-winning Cherry Jones about President Allison Taylor’s trippy story arc this year (like how she’s overlooking the Russians’ involvement in the assassination of Omar Hassan and focusing on a doomed peace agreement instead). But spoiler alert, fans! Though the longtime stage actress doesn’t give away too much about the ending, she does tease a thing or two about where her character is headed. 24 Promo: How Far Will Jack Bauer Go to Get the Truth?

If Jack Bauer has proven one thing on this season of 24, it's that he doesn't care about justice or peace or even the sanctity of human life. The man just wants revenge for Renee's murder. Even though Fox hammers this point home on the following promo, readers still take exception to our critique of season nine, such as the review of this week's episode, which calls into question whether or not Jack is actually acting like a hero these days. Our take: of course not! He's acting in his own self interests, even putting innocent lives at stake without any greater good in mind. We're happy to debate this point with readers, but we also must warn them about the preview below. It gives away a major development on next week's episode. Watch at your own risk... With both the Russians and CTU looking for the same man, Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) is under the gun, literally, to keep his head down and still manage to get some of his questions answered. Jack finds a friend in a blow torch. It's funny how torture will get a man to talk on this show.
