It’s May, which means summer—and the regular season of A.V. Undercover—is right around the corner. To get people excited, though, we teamed up with Skittles for a special four-episode mini-season of A.V. Undercover related to the first big popcorn movie of the season: Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2. Armed with songs featured on the sequel’s Awesome Mixtape soundtrack, we asked some of our favorite bands to (metaphorically) strap on a Star Lord mask and step up to the plate with their covers of tracks like “Come A Little Bit Closer” and “Hooked On A Feeling.” First up is Dude York, a Seattle band with both a love of comic book films and a penchant for glam rock. In the video above, the group takes on “Brandy (You’re A Fine Girl),” a track originally made famous by Looking Glass. Their take should help you get excited for Guardians 2, which is out this Friday, May 5.
