'American Idol' Top 6: What did the other singers say about Candice Glover's performance?

Right at the end of the "American Idol" Top 6 performance show, Candice Glover blew everyone away with her rendition of "Lovesong." What did her competitors have to say about this amazing performance? We asked them all afterwards and were happy to learn that most were just plain in awe of Candice's shining moment.Although most competition-show singers who dare to approach Adele (whose version of The Cure song Candice sang), this was different. Candice Glover took the night and possibly the whole season with that one tune. And everyone had to take notice.Want to know what Candice had to say about the night? Check out our interview with the "Idol" singer here.Amber Holcomb, who had a pretty incredible night of her own on Wednesday (April 10), wasn't even jealous of Candice's success. "We're two different ladies," Amber said. "It was her night, so I'm happy for her."Kree Harrison and Angie Miller both described how... //blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2013/04/american-idol-top-6-what-did-the-other-singers-say-about-candice-glovers-performance.html

'American Idol': Candice Glover is The Cure for our fever

Candice Glover - Don't Make Me Over - American... by IdolxMuzicOn Wednesday's (April 10) "American Idol," Candice Glover stepped up to the plate and hit two towering home runs. She was easily the best this week (though Kree and Amber also had strong showings). First up, she sang "Don't Make Me Over," an old Dionne Warwick hit that she made sound completely current. Nicki Minaj said it was so intense, she wanted a women's revival up in here. Secondly, Candice took on "Love Song" by The Cure -- and gave what is maybe our favorite performance all season. Randy summed it up nicely with, "One of the greatest performances in the history, 12 years of 'American Idol.' You show 'em how to do it, baby." And Mariah Carey punctuated the performance with a magic Mariah glitter bomb. Candice was in tears. She really is so good -- do you agree, "Idol" fans?... //blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2013/04/american-idol-candice-glover-is-the-cure-for-our-fever.html

'American Idol' Top 6: The most talented Top 5 the show has ever seen?

Here we are fans -- maybe the most talented Top 5 "American Idol" has ever seen ... and Lazaro Arbos. Who is voting for him? Are they deaf? We honestly don't even know anymore. Tonight's theme is Burt Bacharach/Hal David for round one and Songs the Contestants Wish They Had Written (which ... OK). So for round one, we're definitely in for a lot of slow songs. 1. Angie Miller, "Anyone Who Had a Heart"Good choice for her, though with Bacharach songs, we're disappointed she's not at the piano. And while she sounds really nice, vocally, we wish there was a little more emotion behind it, a little more oomph. She seems ... hmmm. She seems passionate about singing, but not necessarily the words behind the song? Does that make sense? Still a nice vocal.Keith asks her not to rely on her good voice alone and wants more passion from her emotionally, then the other... //blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2013/04/american-idol-top-6-the-most-talented-top-5-the-show-has-ever-seen.html

'American Idol' Top 6: Amber Holcomb brings back the '70s but no boyfriend

When a singer born in the 1990s manages to accurately channel the spirit of the '70s in song, you know it works. Amber Holcomb made it work like no other during the "American Idol" Top 6 performances on Wednesday (April 10). Her rendition of Dionne Warwick's "Say a Little Prayer for You" brought down the house and brought out the praise from the judges. It was only the second song of the night, but Amber's entry into the "Burt Bacharach/Hal David catalog" theme was easily one of the best of the night. Not only was the song excellent, but Amber successfully rocked a pale blue pantsuit. The entire effect pretty much made you think that the girl had brought the 1970s -- a decade Amber missed by years -- back to the present. To say the judges were impressed would be an understatement. Nicki Minaj was practically ready to leap out of her seat, declaring Amber... //blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2013/04/american-idol-top-6-amber-holcomb-brings-back-the-70s-but-no-boyfriend.html
