Season 20 opens with the stellar “Atlantic Records: The House That Ahmet Built,” a profile of Ahmet Ertegun (1923-2006), the son of a Turkish diplomat. Ertegun's love of American black music led him to found Atlantic Records in 1947. Included: archival footage, plus comments from Ertegun and many of the label's legendary alumni, including Solomon Burke; Eric Clapton; Mick Jagger; Ben E. King; Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller; Bette Midler (who also narrates); and Jimmy Page and Robert Plant.
