'Arrow': How to bring someone back from the dead

In the "Arrow" episode, "State vs.Queen," fans were treated to a bit of a shocker: Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman) is alive and well and gleefully rigging juries. A few episodes earlier, Sara Lance (Caity Lotz) returned to Starling City after her presumed drowning.Whether you were surprised or not, it's important to note that "Arrow" pulled off a neat trick in bringing Sara and Merlyn back in ways that don't cheat the audience. Most shows fail miserably at this. But "Arrow" did not. Here are 5 reasons why.1. Make sure the right characters come back.A show like "Arrow" has lots of deaths. In order to make anything feel even remotely valid, it has to leave most of them moldering in the ground. Robert Queen is long gone. Tommy is, alas, no more. Even this episode's big death, Count Vertigo (Seth Gabel), is pretty much final.By leaving these people dead, a few others get to come... //blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2013/11/malcolm-merlyn-and-sara-lance-how-arrow-brings-characters-back-the-right-way.html

'Arrow': 'Spartacus' Katrina Law to play Ra's al Ghul's daughter

"Arrow" is continuing to raid the cast list of "Spartacus" by casting Katrina Law in the role of Nyssa al Ghul, the daughter of League of Assassins master, Ra's al Ghul.According to a report from TVGuide.com, Law's character of Nyssa will arrive in Starling City in the 13th episode of the current Season 2. The episode's title, "Heir to the Demon," seems to refer directly to Nyssa -- "Ra's al Ghul" means "head of the demon" in Arabic. So far on "Arrow," Ra's al Ghul has been nothing but a shady figure referred to by the Black Canary/Sara Lance (Caity Lotz). Assassins from al Ghul's League of Assassins showed up in Starling City in order to either kill or return Sara to the head of the organization. "Arrow" has not yet announced any plans to bring al Ghul himself to the show.Nyssa al Ghul does appear in DC Comics as a member of the League.... //blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2013/11/arrow-spartacus-katrina-law-to-play-ras-al-ghuls-daughter.html
