TV ratings: World Series Game 2 can't topple CBS' hold on Thursday nights

Fast National ratings for Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012Not even the World Series could topple CBS' hold on Thursday nights, plus Game 2 saw a significant drop from Game 1 -- over 1.5 million viewers. On other networks, "The Vampire Diaries" held steady but "Beauty and the Beast" continued to drop, this week earning under 2 million viewers. The NBC comedies and "Rock Center" all saw an uptick in viewers, but the Minnesota NBC affiliates were broadcasting the Vikings game, so the numbers may be slightly inflated."Last Resort" also had its weakest numbers to date on arguably the strongest episode since the pilot, so clearly the sports programming was siphoning off ABC and not so much CBS.The Eye easily won the night with an average of 12.8 million viewers and an 8.0 rating/13 share in households. FOX was second with 9.99 million viewers and a 6.2/10. ABC came in third with 7 million, 4.8/8, followed by... //blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2012/10/tv-ratings-world-series-game-2-cant-topple-cbs-hold-on-thursday-nights.html

Kristin Kreuk doesn't regret leaving 'Smallville' but glad to be back on TV

Zap2it: Are you a fan of television's previous "Beauty and the Beast" series that starred Linda Hamilton and Ron Perlman?Kristin Kreuk: I actually didn't see the show very much. I think I was a little too young, and also didn't have a TV. I've seen bits and pieces of it, though, and I like the themes behind "Beauty and the Beast." In the Disney version and the fairy tale, the message is really beautiful and human, and I think it's important for us to tell that story.Zap2it: What, specifically, are its themes that appeal to you?Kristin Kreuk: There's the one aspect that people are different than they appear -- that there's much more to them than you perceive -- and that goodness is an internal trait that is not necessarily reflected externally. The other element I love in our version is, what are "beauty" and "beast" anyway? How do they exist within each of us? How... //blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2012/10/kristin-kreuk-doesnt-regret-moving-on-from-smallville.html
