Bravo, what a beautiful ending. Be warned, this review is stuffed with spoilers so don't keep reading unless you've seen it. This was an amazing ending to an engaging story. Throughout all of Big Little Lies we have been given glimpses as to why these characters are so miserable. Celeste is being abused, Renata feels alienated, Jane is dealing with her past, and Madeleine is listless. I love the way that the night of the fundraiser bonds them together and finally diffuses the tension this story was seething with. As for the mystery, though the victim was predictable the killer was a wonderful surprise. Initially I watched this series for the mystery but the lives of these complex women proved immensely intriguing. This is a mini series I would reccomend to anyone!
