Jonathan Calls Ray at a Bad Time on 'Bored to Death' Premiere (VIDEO)

'Bored to Death' (Mon., 9PM ET on HBO) continues to confound with its third season premiere. If you just embrace the ridiculousness of Jonathan being anything close to an effective private investigator, you can enjoy it for the bizarre story of three friends that it's become. It is one of the most unpredictable and entertaining shows going. This premiere saw Ray meeting the child he parented through sperm donation -- sort of -- leading to a very awkward scene where he found a way to quiet the child. We feel bad for the child actor who had to suckle Zach Galifianakis' nipple! //

The first episode of Season 3 kicks off with Jonathan finding out that he was actually conceived in a test-tube and therefore not the biological son of the man who raised him. //

Ted Danson will be pulling double-duty this Fall TV season, reprising his role as the eryudite stoner George Christopher on HBO's 'Bored to Death,' and taking on the new challenge of joining 'CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.' He stopped by 'Early' (9AM ET on CBS) where he talked to Chris Wragge about the pressure of joining such a long-running, successful show, and emphasized that even with all the work on his plate, he's still having a great time. "It came out of the blue for me. It's unlike anything I've ever done," he said, "and I'm having a great time learning all this new stuff." Danson's got big shoes to fill, after Laurence Fishburne left the cast this offseason. //

How many wolf packs can one man have? The proper, full-length trailer for Season 3 of "Bored to Death" has arrived, and in addition to showing off Zach Galifianakis' antics in another comedic trio, it makes the upcoming run of the HBO comedy seem rather intense. It also makes the new season look fantastic, so we've decided to break down the 5 greatest moments from the 62-second spot. And so you you know just how much we're digging this promo, Jonathan (Jason Schwartzman) and George (Ted Danson) rubbing Sarah Silverman's feet during what appears to be a therapy session isn't even one of them. That's how much.1. Bigger budget!Yes, that is Jonathon hanging off the clock tower of Brooklyn's WIlliamsburgh Bank Building in an apparent ode to silent film actor Harold Lloyd and/or Doc Jones. Last we checked, "Bored to Death" was a modest comedy with few thrills, so maybe they are laying on the action this... //

'Bored to Death' Season 3 trailer: Coney Island antics revealed

Those left hanging by the extra-teasing teaser for the upcoming third season of HBO's "Bored to Death" will be happy to know that the full trailer has arrived. After all, they wouldn't cart stars Jason Schwartzman, Ted Danson and Zach Galifianakis to Brooklyn's Coney Island boardwalk just to walk dramatically for 14 seconds. The extended cut features the sleuths enjoying all manner of amusement park activities, including the Ferris wheel, bumper cars and public drinking. The sight of Danson sipping a martini on a carousel horse is particularly entertaining. Our trio is ultimately busted for partaking in their signature alcoholic beverages, leaving us with one lingering question. When do we get some clips from the new season? "Bored to Death" Season 3 premieres on Oct. 10. Don't be stingy, HBO.... //

'Bored to Death' heralds Season 3 with awesomely uneventful teaser trailer

HBO Comedy "Bored to Death" returns for Season 3 on Oct. 10, and though the network is holding onto new footage from the 8-episode run, there is this summery teaser of the trio walking down the Coney Island boardwalk. Stars Jason Schwartzman, Ted Danson and Zach Galifianakis appear silent and sunglasses-clad while Beastie Boys' "Triple Trouble" plays in the background. (It's Season 3 and there are three of them... Get it?)The new run picks up where the last left off, with the three still collaborating on Jonathan's (Jason) freelance detective work and George embarking on a new life after leaving his editor gig at "Edition." Also on tap this season are guest appearances from Casey Wilson, Danson's wife Mary Steenburgen and a slew of others. Suffice it to say, we're much more psyched for another round of "Bored to Death" than Danson's somewhat baffling addition to "CSI."... //

'Boardwalk Empire,' 'Bored to Death' and more HBO fall premieres (including two on Mondays)

HBO will try to stake out a place for original programming on Monday nights in the fall with a pair of comedies. The third season of "Bored to Death" and the new comedy "Enlightened" will form a one-hour block at 9 p.m. ET Mondays starting Oct. 10. HBO hasn't aired original series on any night other than Sunday in several years -- since the final season of "Six Feet Under" aired on Mondays in 2005, to be exact. But HBO has five series on the air in the fall, and since it doesn't air shows before 9 p.m. ET in on Sundays, they won't all fit in primetime. HBO co-president Richard Plepler also notes that about half of the viewership, and sometimes more, for original series comes from repeat airings, DVRs, on-demand and HBO Go, so he's fairly confident an audience will find the Monday shows. In addition to "Bored to Death" and "Enlightened," HBO will also roll... //
