Castle "Swan Song" Review: The Day the Music Died

"Swan Song" was an episode of Castle in which very little happened. But hey, there was some fun mockumentary-style spoofing, so at least we have that. //www.tv.com/news/castle-swan-song-review-the-day-the-music-died-30063/

Best Castle Quotes From Season 5, Episode 7: "Swan Song"

Between Rick Castle's incessant flirtation with the cameras and Ryan and Esposito's nonstop attempts to one-up each other, "Swan Song" was chock-full of clever quips and witty one-liners. Castle Recap of Season 5, Episode 7: "Swan Song"

James Swan was on the brink of celebrity stardom. Just a small town boy living in a lonely world, this Ithaca-born guitarist and his band had just been hailed the next Nirvana — and just like Kurt Cobain, his dream ended at the age of 27. But unlike Cobain and the infamous members of the "27 club," James's death wasn't his own doing. Nope, he was murdered. Holy Shemp! Behind the Music Kate Beckett and the team arrive on the scene to find a dead body surrounded by cameras. But these... //feeds.wetpaint.com/~r/wetpaint/latest/excerpt/~3/YK-gStRxFu4/castle-recap-of-season-5-episode-7-swan-song

Castle Review: What Did You Think of Castle Season 5, Episode 7: "Swan Song"?

Tonight's episode of Castle, "Swan Song," took us behind the music with a mockumentary-style hour of laughter-inducing television! Through the shaky lens of a camera, we watched the investigation into James Swan's murder unfold like an episode of The Office meets Cops — and we also got to see our favorite detectives in a completely new light. That is, under the spotlight! And in the process, Castle and Beckett were this close to getting caught by Captain Gates. But the whole thing went... //feeds.wetpaint.com/~r/wetpaint/latest/excerpt/~3/b2J3hrluaxE/castle-review-what-did-you-think-of-castle-season-5-episode-7-swan-song

'Castle' Recap: Welcome to The 27 Club

Castle can cross another couple themes off their to-do lists, including being followed by a documentary film crew and the legendary 27 Club. Beckett and her team got called to investigate when the lead singer, James Swan, of an soon-to-be-famous band was found dead in his trailer. The complication -- a documentary film crew that has been following the band and then gets approval to follow the investigation too. "Swan Song" was a bit bizarre and that's saying a lot for a show that has covered Steam Punk, Aliens, Soap Operas, and even  last week's Sci Fi convention episode . At first, I was annoyed by the documentary film aspect. //www.buddytv.com/articles/castle/castle-recap-welcome-to-the-27-48405.aspx

Castle Review: "Swan Song"

Castle returned with " Swan Song ", an episode centered around the murder of a guitar player in a rock band. The band had been being filmed for a documentary, putting Beckett and company in front of the cameras. Did this formula work? That’s debatable. Time to discuss "Swan Song." The weekly case had the twists and turns that we are used to as Castle fans, but the documentary style approach made things quite a bit different. It was fun and made for some hilarious moments from the characters, but it didn’t make the hour one of the series best. Esposito really took center stage, showing off his personality in a great way. This by far was a highlight. His singing, his muscles, and his making sure his best angle was in view were awesome. Read More... //www.tvfanatic.com/2012/11/castle-review-swan-song/

Castle Season 5 Review “Swan Song” – Camera Shy

Our favorite couple came oh-so close to having their relationship outed to the one person who hasn’t figured it out yet in "Swan Song," this week’s episode of  Castle . For a woman who earned her way up the police chain of command, Captain Gates is kind of blind when it comes to Castle and Beckett. I mean, they’re not exactly being all that discreet around the station. This week’s victim was a guitarist in a moderately successful band who happened to have a film crew tailing them for a documentary. Unfortunately, the murder was the only thing the crew couldn’t seem to catch on film, and it was up to our detectives to figure it out. But thanks to Gates wanting good PR for the department, the crew turned their band movie into a documentary chronicling the investigation.
