It's the middle of the week and five foodies are getting to know one another while vying for a $1000 cash prize. Hosting a swanky soiree is property manager Dawn Muzzo. Joining her around the dinner table is arts and crafts lover Sara Meredith, theatre professional Rick Simm, tool and die maker Edward Gal, and career-confused Dustin Morrison.
Tonight Dawn has decided on a fancy black tie dinner party followed by individual makeovers. First up, a short mingle and fish chowder with cornbread as the starter. After a stylishly presented appetizer and a long wait, dinner is finally plated. It's after eleven o'clock when the guests eat their main course: beef tenderloin with a choice of blue cheese or peppercorn sauce, along with some vegetable kebobs and wild rice tomatoes. Despite mixed reviews Dawn woos everyone with her tasty dessert of strawberry mascarpone and banana hazelnut chocolate crepes.
