It’s the first day of a five day dinner party dust up and for the first time every we are in the nations capital-Ottawa. The first foodie challenge to impress their guests is trophy wife Julie Goldblatt. Joining her around the table is competitive mean girl Jill Hache, meticulous manscaper Joshua Abrams, blue collar dad John Villeneuve and firecracker francophone Nicole Ducharme. The night kicks off to a fun start as the guests show up wearing their best 80’s attire and a lot of flammable hair. A quick meeting and it’s time for play as Julie gets them active in a game of pin the tail on the beaver. After working up an appetite the guests are seated around the table and Julie serves her first course of the evening- french onion soup. Receiving mixed reviews for her appetizer Julie is hoping to win them over with her main course-herb encrusted lamb with garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus. Here to prove that Ottawa isn’t a boring city Julie brings out the tequila for a group cheers. With their taste buds washed away Julie takes the opportunity to serve her final course of the evening-no bake cheesecake with cherry topping. Before the night is over Julie brings out her final surprise of the night violinists playing Mozart. Will Julie pull all the right strings to win over her guests? Or will her meal fall flat?
