'American Horror Story' is 2011's most time-shifted show, 'Grimm' the most 'engaging'

Nielsen has released a few year-end lists showing the most-watched series of the year, the top single programs and more -- and for once, it doesn't segregate broadcast and cable offerings. And that means the list of the calendar year's most DVR'd shows, in terms of percentage growth, are almost all on cable. In fact, nine of the Top 10 shows on that list, which measures the growth between Nielsen's live ratings and Live +7 ratings, are cable series, headed by "American Horror Story." The first-year FX drama nearly doubled its live audience with DVR viewership, growing by 95.3 percent. USA's "Covert Affairs" (95.1 percent growth) and "Suits" (94.5 percent) were almost as high. We should also note that none of these shows would likely be in the Top 10 for number of viewers added, not when broadcast hits like "Modern Family," "The Mentalist" and "Two and a Half Men" regularly add more than 3 million... //blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2011/12/american-horror-story-is-2011s-most-time-shifted-show-grimm-the-most-engaging.html

Christopher Gorham Reacts to Covert Affairs Season Finale Tease

It's the concluding scene over which all Covert Affairs fans are still buzzing, courtesy of this week's season two finale : Auggie gives Annie his car... says he's going to see Parker... and Annie realizes she has feelings for her loyal co-worker, only he can't see her express them. Literally. Because he's blind. Referring to the set-up as "totally legit" because his character simply had no idea what expression was on Annie's face, Christopher Gorham told EW the scene was akin to "ships passing in the night." "I just loved how we use the reality of who he is to allow these two characters to have that moment, and allow Annie to be so completely vulnerable in front of him, and yet, the risk is somewhat taken away because he doesn’t catch it," Gorham said of the pivotal few moments. How will Annie's realization play a role on season three? "It changes everything and nothing," says Gorham. "It allows us to continue to let this relationship simmer, and it’s gonna change how that happens... I think Annie misunderstands where his head is when he gives her his car. She takes it as something different because she doesn’t know he’s been to the doctor, she doesn’t know that he’s really talking about his eyesight. In her head, she really wants to talk to him, and she’s feeling very much that she wants to be close to him. And in that moment, there is the opportunity for that to turn into something romantic, but it’s just missed." Do you wanna see Annie and Auggie finally get together? Annie and Danielle got to spend some quality sister time together on 'Covert Affairs' (Tue., 10PM ET on USA) in this season finale. It's just a shame it was while they were hiding from the rogue agent looking to kill them. These scenes brought a close to one chapter of Annie's professional life, and ushered in another as she coolly and confidently took down the agent in order to save her sister. But as cool as she was in that moment, it still marked her first kill and that's not something you can simply brush to the side and move on. We were thrilled to see her and Danielle reach a reconciliation, and even more thrilled that Annie gets to come home! //www.aoltv.com/2011/12/07/annie-protect-danielle-rogue-agent-covert-affairs-video/
