'Dancing With the Stars': Carrie Ann Inaba tweets in defense of the judges

"Dancing With the Stars" had a bit of controversy this week. If you recall, on Monday (Oct. 24) judge Len Goodman called Hope Solo's dance with Maksim Chmerkovskiy their worst dance of the season. While trying to explain his critique, he mentioned that he'd been in the business for 50 years. Maks told him it might be time to retire, prompting judge Carrie Ann Inaba to get angry. She told Maks not to be disrespectful. Well, Inaba has taken to Twitter to defend the judges. (She's the only judge with a Twitter account.) "FYI: Everyone has different abilities on DWTS," she tweeted. "Every journey is unique to each contestant and everyone's ten looks slightly different. Another FYI: I forgive you because you don't know better- scores are locked in before we speak. So we have scored before any words spoken." Goodman made an appearance on "Access Hollywood" to give his own opinion. "I was a... //blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2011/10/dancing-with-the-stars-carrie-ann-inaba-tweets-in-defense-of-the-judges.html

Carrie Ann Inaba Defends 'Dancing' Judges and Talks About Chaz's Elimination (VIDEO)

As things heat up in the evening on 'Dancing With the Stars,' 'Access Hollywood Live' (weekdays, syndicated on NBC) has become a place for the judges to say their peace the morning after. Yesterday Len Goodman addressed Maks' request for him to retire, and today Carrie Ann Inaba talked about Chaz Bono's elimination while defending the judge's ability to remain impartial. After getting eliminated, Chaz had some catty words for the judges. "I didn't really ever say hello to them so there's not really much of a need to say goodbye." He also said that he felt a bias against him throughout the show, even though he made it to week 6 with minimal dancing skills. Inaba defended Chaz's elimination, saying, "I commended Chaz on what he was doing, because what he was doing is very important in the larger scope of life. But the scoring has to do with what they're doing dance-wise. We are able to separate the two," she said. //www.aoltv.com/2011/10/26/carrie-ann-inaba-defends-dancing-judges-chaz-elimination-video/

'Dancing With the Stars'' Maksim Chmerkovskiy: 'I Don't Regret' Talking Back to Judges (Video)

Maksim Chmerkovskiy  has no plans to apologize after  telling off the  Dancing With the Stars judges  on Monday's show. "The last time I apologized was to my grandma when she was dying with cancer," the pro said on   Good Morning America Wednesday morning. "I definitely have nothing to apologize to Len . Certainly not to  Carrie Ann . She can make all those faces she wants." Continued Chmerkovskiy, "I love the show. I love the fans. I love every aspect of it, the whole idea that came out behind [me saying it was] my show, I feel like it's my family, my home. "One thing I'm not going to embrace is pointing fingers and disrespectful remarks," continued Chmerkovskiy, referring to Goodman telling his partner Hope Solo that she'd had her worst week on the show on Monday. "Why are judges allowed to compare us to animals and point their fingers and we can't say we're work and show our opinion?" Dancing With the Stars Results Show: Who's In? Who's Out?

Did this week's Dancing With the Stars results offer another surprise? Chaz Bono was at the bottom of the pack Monday night, but not far behind him was Hope Solo, whose partner, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, made news for some harsh criticism of the judges. Ricki Lake and JR Martinez had the highest scores, as usual, and by such a wide margin over the rest of the field that the top two had very little to worry about. Everyone else, though? It came down to Chaz, Hope, Rob Kardashian, Nancy Grace and David Arquette. Any could have gone, but given his low scores the last few weeks, the elimination was fairly predictable ... Chaz Bono was ousted on Dancing With the Stars. Despite the fact that everyone loves the guy, a sense of order returned. "I took so much away from this," he said, fighting through the emotion. "This was an amazing journey that really pushed me and showed me I could do so much more than I ever thought I could." "I came on this show because I wanted to show America a different kind of man. I know that if there was somebody like me on TV when I was growing up, my whole life would have been different." "So I dedicate everything I did to the people out there like me, especially to all the kids and teens who are struggling. You can have a wonderful, great life and be successful and happy." "You get all 10s for that, my friend," said host Tom Bergeron to Chaz. Bono criticized the judges as well for their comments the previous night. His low scores? Not the issue he said, but comments by Bruno about him resembling a fuzzy penguin did not sit well. Do you think America made the right call ousting him? Who do you think will be in jeopardy next week? Who's your pick to make it all the way to the finals to battle it out for the Mirror Ball? 'Dancing With the Stars' Week Six Elimination (VIDEO)

After an emotional performance show, in which Maks lost his cool with Len , it was bound to be a tense elimination on 'Dancing With the Stars' (Tue., 8PM ET on ABC). Maksim Chmerkovskiy and his partner, Hope Solo, scored a 20 from the judges, which was better than only one other couple, Chaz Bono and Lacey Schwimmer with their 19. We've seen how their fellow contestants felt , many of whom felt he may have crossed the line. Would America agree? //www.aoltv.com/2011/10/25/dancing-with-the-stars-week-six-elimination-video/

'Dancing With the Stars' results: Chaz Bono, Hope Solo or Rob Kardashian, who went home?

Whose lights went out on Broadway week? The couples in danger were Rob Kardashian and Cheryl Burke, Hope Solo and Maksim Chmerkovskivy and Chaz Bono and Lacey Schwimmer. And then Chaz Bono was sent packing. GLAAD released a statement following Chaz's elimination: "Chaz bravely put on his dancing shoes and became a fan favorite, showing millions of viewers that he's like any other guy," said GLAAD Acting President Mike Thompson. "Though it's sad to see him go, Chaz has helped countless people better understand what it means to be transgender. He should be commended for both his courage and determination. We hope Chaz's time on 'Dancing with the Stars' is just the beginning in a long line of transgender-inclusive programming across the media."And his mom Cher tweets, "I Have Got 2Hold my TEMPER !
