'Dancing With the Stars': William Levy and Cheryl Burke 'We were robbed'

William and Cheryl, we totally agree! On the week seven episode of "DWTS," William Levy and Cheryl Burke performed an amazing routine, but they didn't get top scores. The week before, they rocked the house, but Len Goodman thought the routine was "too raunchy." The screaming women in the audience would beg to differ.Zap2it was on the scene after the show where we got to chat with Burke and Levi about the situation. Burke says, "We were robbed. Don't you think?" Yes. Yes we do. " I think the fact that we couldn't even hear ourselves or the scores because people were booing so loudly, that for me is better than getting good scores," Burke adds.We asked Levy about his reluctance to remove his shirt for the team dance. (The answer is always yes, William.) He says, "I am a team player and whatever the team wants I will do. It's all about having fun,... //blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2012/05/dancing-with-the-stars-william-levy-and-cheryl-burke-we-were-robbed.html

Maria Menounos earns 'Dancing With the Stars' first perfect 30 of the season

There have been 10s handed out before on this season of "Dancing With the Stars," but never three on one dance - until Monday night (April 30). Maria Menounos and Derek Hough turned in an outstanding (and vampire themed!) paso doble on Classical week and were rewarded for their efforts. "That was amazing. You are so on fire. Katherine has been in the lead for the girls, but she better watch her back," says Carrie Ann. Bruno adds, "The queen of the damned is the queen of the night ... the structure of this dance, the way you built the tension ... was absolutely spellbinding."As we said, the judges gave it a perfect 30, the first this season. And we found it to be well-deserved. Will Maria and Derek be getting your votes this evening?... //blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2012/04/maria-menounos-earns-dancing-with-the-stars-first-perfect-30-of-the-season.html

'DWTS': William Levy gets Jackie Evancho to help out on his Viennese waltz

For Classical week on "Dancing With the Stars," William Levy and partner Cheryl Burke did a Viennese waltz to "Ave Maria" - with some help from "America's Got Talent" finalist Jackie Evancho. We just love that little pint-sized powerhouse. Likewise, the judges loved William's waltz. Bruno says, "You have captured the purity and the ethereal quality of the song" and Carrie Ann adds, "True content, true dancing ... you find the story in the music and it's always the story of romance." Len, who is a stickler about the Viennese waltz in particular, gave high praise (for him) when he said, "I wasn't exactly transported to Vienna, but it was close."What did you think, "DWTS" fans? We found it infinitely more exciting than Katherine Jenkins' rumba. There was just more of a spark and intensity behind this one, even though they are both slower dances. Will William Levy be getting your votes tonight?... //blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2012/04/dwts-william-levy-gets-jackie-evancho-to-help-out-on-his-viennese-waltz.html

'Dancing With the Stars': Katherine Jenkins' rumba leaves us a little flat

For Classical week on "Dancing With the Stars," Katherine Jenkins and Mark Ballas danced a rumba to Pachelbel's Canon in D. And while we appreciate that the rumba is a slower dance, this one was not the same as her slow waltz. It left us flat and a little bored. Are we alone in this?Carrie Ann kind of nailed when she said the passion felt forced, not "genuine and heated." Katherine and Mark are definitely no Maria and Derek, that's for sure. The other judges loved it, though. Len said the dance had "style and elegance," while Bruno was his usual effusive self with, "The unattainable object of desire. The embodiment of the power of beauty, merely toying with your subjects."She received three 9s for a total of 27. Were we alone in our feelings about Katherine's rumba? She's still one of the best dancers on the show and technically it was near perfect, but... //blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2012/04/dancing-with-the-stars-katherine-jenkins-rumba-leaves-us-a-little-flat.html
