'Dancing With the Stars': Maria Menounos is a cylon, dancing through the pain

Maria Menounos is a machine. She's a cylon. She's performing on "Dancing With the Stars" with two broken ribs and stress fractures in her foot. Not only that, but any time anyone asks her if she's going to quit, she says. "I have a high pain tolerance." We chatted with Menounos, who recently started a website called "After Buzz TV." Though she's hurting, she says, "I don't want to stop. I am having such an amazing time and I think that really fuels me. I also do have a pretty good tolerance for pain. I am just having so much fun I am trying not to think about any of that. I mean this has been going on since a week and a half into this, but like I said I have a high tolerance for pain. But my feet were really really hurt."She adds, "I have never been injured in my entire freaking life. Melissa Gilbert diagnosed with concussion, whiplash after 'Dancing With the Stars' fall

On Monday's "Dancing With the Stars" broadcast, contestant Melissa Gilbert hit her head during her paso doble with her partner, Maksim Chmerkovskiy. She felt so dizzy after the dance that her fellow contestant Gavin DeGraw carried her out of the set, to an ambulance, and she was transported to the nearby Cedars Sinai hospital.Luckily, Gilbert does not have to remain in the hospital overnight. "I'm alright," she tweeted a little over two hours after the show wrapped. "Mild concussion and whiplash. Very soon I will be safely home resting and being taken care of."She included a little love for Chmerkovskiy. "You are my champion. I adore you," she wrote. She also sent DeGraw a note of thanks. "Bless your heart for carrying me down those stairs!" she wrote.Watch the dance-gone-wrong below. 'Dancing With the Stars': Maria Menounos and Derek Hough do a sexy tango

For Rock Week on "DWTS," Maria Menounos and partner Derek Hough once again lit the ballroom floor on fire with their chemistry. They danced a tango to Alice Cooper's "School's Out," which was an interesting choice. But the performance was great."You guys have such incredible chemistry while you dance ... there were such beautiful lines," said Carrie Ann. And Bruno added, "Beauty, attitude and sex appeal." Len gave a little constructive criticism with, "Occasionally it lost a little bit of control ... you've got great posture, though."The judges gave two 9s and an 8, which was the second-highest score given out Monday night (April 9). Plus, Maria has already hurt her rib and is now apparently dancing on feet that have stress fractures! Holy cow, what a trooper. Does she have your votes, "DWTS" fans? 'DWTS': Roshon Fegan gets the Viennese Waltz for Rock Week

"Dancing With the Stars" contestant Roshon Fegan and partner Chelsie Hightower got a rather tough call for Rock Week - the Viennese waltz, which is about the least rock 'n roll ballroom dance there is. However, they ended up doing a beautiful job. Carrie Ann compared their dance to watching the climax of a Disney movie. She also praised Roshon as being the best dancer of all the men. Wow. Bruno called it "elegant and romantic" and Len made Roshon's night with, "Good job, dawg."The judges gave him two 9s and an 8 from Len, which was the second-highest total of the night. Did you vote for Roshon? He really is a cutie pie. Video below.... //blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2012/04/dwts-roshon-fegan-gets-the-viennese-waltz-for-rock-week.html

'Dancing With the Stars': Donald Driver is an Adonis on his paso doble

Donald Driver's call for Rock Week on "DWTS" was a paso doble to Jimi Hendrix's classic "Purple Haze." It was insane - smoke and shirtlessness and crazy, primal facial expressions. It all added up to an awesome performance. As Bruno said, "Muscular, masculine, magnificent! ... You have power, you have proud and a bit of sense of humor." Carrie Ann added, "What the heck did I just see?! That goes down in he books as one of the most memorable moments of this season. Spectacular.""I never thought I'd get excited seeing a man with his shirt off ... without a doubt, your best dance," says Len. The judges gave him straight 9s, the highest total for the night. What did you think, "Dancing With the Stars" fans? Video below... //blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2012/04/dancing-with-the-stars-donald-drive-is-an-adonis-on-his-paso-doble.html

'DWTS': William Levy's jive gets a little sloppy

For Rock Week on "Dancing With the Stars," William Levy and partner Cheryl Burke took on the jive to Twisted Sister's "We're Not Gonna Take It." It started off strong, but it got sloppier and sloppier as the dance went on. There was also a big miss on a move where Levy was going to swing Burke around in circle between his legs. The judges were not mean, but they did caution him to get the routines down better. Perhaps Burke is so enamored of Levy's dancing talent (because he's a very good dancer) that they bit off more than they could chew choreography-wise this week.Carrie Ann summed it up best with, "You uplift this room, they go crazy for you ... but Len is right, you've got to nail those routines." The judges gave him two 7s and an 8 for a total of 22. What did you think, "DWTS" fans?... //blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2012/04/dwts-william-levys-jive-gets-a-little-sloppy.html

'DWTS': Melissa Gilbert hospitalized after performance

This week on "Dancing With the Stars," Melissa Gilbert and partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy danced a paso doble to "Conquest" by the White Stripes. Zap2it's on-the-scene reporter Jenna Busch tells us that following the performance, Gilbert was taken to the hospital.According to Karina Smirnoff, Melissa hit her head during her paso doble and felt dizzy after the dance. She was taken out of the theater on a stretcher, after Gavin DeGraw carried her down the stairs to the waiting ambulance. We hope the hospitalization was just a precaution and that there is nothing serious going on. We re-watched her performance and the only thing we think could have caused the head bump was when Maksim kind of biffed a move around the 50-second mark. She could have bumped her head on the floor at that point. We'll keep you posted as we know more.... //blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2012/04/dwts-melissa-gilbert-hospitalized-after-performance.html

'DWTS': Carrie Ann Inaba thinks Katherine Jenkins has dance training

"Dancing With the Stars" has hit week three, and we got a chance to chat with judge Carrie Ann Inaba about the competition thus far. Inaba says that the judges really stay out of the controversy during the show and they don't read anything. "I know somebody had mentioned that they saw something with Kym (Johnson), Jaleel (White) and Mark (Ballas), but I don't actually know what happened because I haven't seen the story."She wasn't aware that people have questioned whether or not opera singer Katherine Jenkins has had more dance training than the few tap classes she says she does, but she definitely had an opinion about it."Oh, from my eye I definitely say she's had dance training," she says. "It's pretty obvious she's had dance training. I think a lot of people who have been on our show have had dance training, but we can see that as judges. We can see that... //blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2012/04/dwts-carrie-ann-inaba-thinks-katherine-jenkins-has-dance-training.html
