Don’t Trust The B—- In Apartment 23 Season 2 Review “Dating Games…”

Dare I say it? Is  Don’t Trust The B—- In Apartment 23  returning to the hysterical roots from whence it came? It seemed that way in "Dating Games…", which, I would like to point out, is actually a second season episode, so it looks like someone at ABC got wise to the fact that airing things out of order is never a good idea for your loyal fan base. It can be difficult to review a half hour comedy sitcom, mainly because comedy is subjective and what I find funny may not be what other people find  funny, blah blah blah, you get the picture. However,  Don’t Trust The B—- In Apartment 23 really hit home yesterday with James creating his own dating show simply because he could. Read More... READ MORE...

Don’t Trust The B—- In Apartment 23 Season 2 Review “Monday June…”

Can someone please tell me why  everywhere I looked yesterday, ABC (and other sources) stated that "Monday June…" was going to be the next episode of  Don’t Trust The B—- In Apartment 23 , but it ended up being a castoff of the first season titled "Mean Girls"? The way ABC is airing these episodes is not only driving me absolutely crazy, but it makes it really hard to review a show that should NOT be difficult to talk about! I get frustrated at the nonsensical things that the writers have Chloe and June doing in episodes that should have aired in the first season, and probably would have made a lot of sense! But since they’re now being shoved into the second season and forced to sink or swim, they’re tending to sink to the bottom and fast. READ MORE...

Don’t Trust The B—- In Apartment 23 Season 2 Review “The Scarlet Neighbor”

This is the second episode this week of  Don’t Trust The B— In Apartment 23 , and after watching "The Scarlet Neighbor" and a few things not making any sort of sense to me, I did a bit of research and found out that this episode was actually supposed to air during the first season. This makes a lot of sense as June is still doe eyed and naive, not to mention working at the coffee shop when in "Paris…" she had her job on Wall Street. Why the network decided to air this episode so amazingly out of order is beyond me, but it made for some very disjointed story telling. In "The Scarlet Neighbor", June decides to school Chloe on the ways of having a monogamous relationship instead of just sex with random people. Unlike a previous episode of  Don’t Trust The B—– In Apartment 23 , June learns a lesson at the end of this one that she should not be judgmental about other people’s sex lives. READ MORE...

Don’t Trust The B—- In Apartment 23 Season 2 “Paris” Review – Taking Backstabbing to a New Level…

Don’t Trust The B—- In Apartment 23  returned last night from winter break. Now airing on Sunday and Tuesday (what?) the ABC comedy takes the place of the network’s failed  666 Park Avenue . The episode "Paris" marks the winter return of  Don’t Trust the B—- In Apartment 23 , and while it had some surprises, episodes that center primarily around June tend to not be as funny. With June landing a real job at a financial firm, she gets to quit the coffee shop, which leads the writers into puns such as "we’ll miss you a latte!", which is never needed. Ever. In her new office, June runs into her new nemesis – Fox Paris, a woman that Chloe realizes right away is the personification of herself. With new blood on  Don’t Trust The B—- In Apartment 23 , it opens the door for more characters to take a step into the spotlight. For a show with such a tiny main cast, this is a good thing. While I love Chloe and James and their crazy antics, sometimes the characters need a little push from someone outside their inner circle. Paris seems to be the logical choice for this role… especially after June’s issues in this episode. Don’t Trust The B—- In Apartment 23 Season 2 “Whatever It Takes…” Review

It’s the mid-season finale of  Don’t Trust The B—- In Apartment  23  and while I struggled really badly with myself on climbing on my moral high horse for this comedy, I feel that "Whatever It Takes …" sort of earned a not so stellar review. I love  Don’t Trust the B—- . I very (if ever) have anything negative to say about this dark comedy. It’s hysterical, the characters are so far out of the norm that it makes their crazy antics fun, and the writing is smart and sassy. That said, what the hell happened in "Whatever it Takes…"?? Whatever it takes, indeed! Even if the "whatever" involves drugging your friend into having sex with someone to keep your job intact, apparently that’s okay in the land of Chloe and June. We all know that Chloe isn’t the most upstanding moral person in the world and she’s slowly been pulling June into her web of crazy, but I found June’s actions to be sort of unacceptable and completely out of character. Don’t Trust The B—- In Apartment 23 Season 2 Review “It’s A Miracle…” – “You can’t hand me a sledgehammer and expect me not to swing it!”

There has never been a better line to describe Chloe than: "You can’t hand me a sledgehammer and expect me not to swing it!", am I right? The focus character of  Don’t Trust The B—- In Apartment  23 goes through life with the tact of a sledgehammer, and does so in an incredibly unapologetic fashion. In this week’s "It’s a Miracle…" Chloe ropes June into visiting Chloe’s mother, and poor June is stuck in a wheelchair the entire episode . As if that’s not bad enough, remember how Chloe’s mother actually needs a wheelchair to get around? Well, mom takes to June since they have similar issues to overcome, and even has June ride in the automatic lift she had installed on her staircase . I didn’t know if I should cover my eyes with embarrassment for June or laugh hysterically at how ridiculous the entire situation was. Don’t Trust The B—- In Apartment 23 “Sexy People” Review

Eh. That about sums up my thoughts on "Sexy People", this week’s episode of  Don’t Trust the B—- In Apartment  23 . I’ve seen better and I’ve seen worse from the show, but for some reason I always expect this comedy to hit it out of the park with the humor. This week Chloe stages a take over of  People  magazine and tries far too hard to channel Meryl Street in The Devil Wears Prada . Let’s face it, no one can do bitchy like Meryl, although Krysten Ritter comes semi-close. It’s not her fault that the writers of  Don’t Trust The B—- In Apartment 23  completely ripped off scenes directly from  The Devil Wears Prada … Ritter has to work  with what she has. Don’t Trust The B—- In Apartment 23 Season 2 “Love and Monsters…” Review – Has Chloe Met Her Match?

It’s Halloween  week, so every show is pulling out the costumes and dusting off the witch hats, and  Don’t Trust The B—- In Apartment  23  is no different. "Love and Monsters…" follows shows Chloe getting snuggly with a new guy friend, and June cannot comprehend that her roommate is not only at a chick flick, but that she actually seems to be enjoying herself. Leave it to Chloe to make things not always what they seem, and when June confronts her about her new sweetie, Chloe explains that each year she targets a "victim" to pick up at a Halloween party. Benjamin happens to be the lucky guy this year, and Chloe does her best to make him fall in love with her so she can break his heart. However it looks like Chloe may have met someone as insane as she is in Benjamin. He actually seems to like crazy, and we all know that Chloe is brimming with the insane! Somehow Benjamin manages to turn the tables on Chloe and it looks like this might actually be the start of something that resembles a relationship for our favorite "B". Don’t Trust The B—- In Apartment 23 Season 2 “…A Reunion” Review – It wasn’t Pacey, Jen, and Joey’s Creek!

Don’t Trust The B—- In Apartment 23  returns with the second season tonight and the summer break only increased the humor in ABC’s comedy. The show opens with a funeral – more specifically, the funeral of Dawson Leery. For years, Chloe talks to James about actually going through with a  Dawson’s Creek  reunion, and when it looks like James is on board, the truth comes out – no one from the cast ever wants to see James again. A cameo from Busy Philips explains that it had something to do with the boats from the series, and James is just crushed. This launches James and June into a depression that Chloe can’t get past – why would anyone want to dwell so hard on what’s happened in the past that they’d want to go back to it? James desperately tries to come up with other ideas for a reunion to get back his glory days, and it takes guest star Mark-Paul Gosselaar to run an intervention of sorts and convince James that getting back to his roots isn’t necessary. Don’t Trust The B—- In Apartment 23 “Shitagi Nashi” Review – Season Finale!

I’m so sad that  Don’t Trust The B—- In  Apartment 23  is over! Tonight’s "Shitagi Nashi" was the season finale of this fantastic ABC comedy. June (Dreama Walker) is thrilled to be considered one of the "cool kids" while hanging out with Chloe (Krysten Ritter). The only problem is, she and Chloe don’t really have a lot (or anything) in common, and when June is forced to stop drinking because of alcohol poisoning, she begins to feel a little desperate and left out of Chloe’s lifestyle. An unlikely friend points out that June has forgotten every reason that she came to New York in the first place, which sets June back on her path to finding a job on Wall Street.
