Fawlty Towers is classic British situation comedy at its best.
John Cleese is magnificent as Basil Fawlty, the obnoxious owner of a small seaside guest house desperately trying to keep his bossy wife happy while cutting every corner he can.
This series could be used as a training manual for "what not to do in a customer service job".
The supporting cast are absolutely superb, and lend the show some humanity and warmth which Basil Fawlty as a character completely lacks.
Enjoy watching a pretentious know-it-all idiot get himself into a mess because he is too lazy, cowardly or egotistical to avoid the problem in the first place, or to resolve the problem easily.
If you like British humour you should like this, just "don't mention the War".
