As the friends begin their second year at Manchester Medlock, they welcome Candice, a new fresher, into their house and have to get used to having JP as their landlord. As Howard and JP try to coax some female freshers to join their skiing society, Vod and Oregon return from their trip to South America separately, and with a hint of tension existing between them. Oregon soon finds herself taking care of the naive Candice. Josie, meanwhile, is lonely in Southampton without the gang, and attempts to compensate for it by spending hours on Skype, while Kingsley denies having a relationship with either her or Heather.
