From Dusk till Dawn Season Finale Review: Dark Side of the Sun

Even though it’s been a couple of weeks since it aired, it’s finally time to talk about the season three finale of From Dusk till Dawn. With the cast being released from their contracts immediately prior to the finale’s airing, the future of the series is unknown. Could it continue in some way? Certainly. But, for now, let’s take a look at the latest (final?) episode of the series, "Dark Side of the Sun." The finale opens with a flashback to happier times at the beginning of the series that show the Gecko Brothers in a happier time before jumping ahead to the present in which Kate is near-death after Amaru has left her. It’s a nice parallel that shows us just how far Seth and Ritchie have come over these three years while also giving us a clearer view of the stakes at hand. READ MORE...

From Dusk Till Dawn Season 3 Episode 10 Review: Dark Side of the Sun

Seth got his partner back, and everything is right with the world. On From Dusk Till Dawn Season 3 Episode 10 , Kate came back to us, and it was fantastic. Seeing Kate fighting side by side with Seth and Scott was just what the doctor ordered. It had been too long since we saw them side by side fighting for their lives. Kate's definitely come out of all of this a changed person, and more importantly, she recognized that she was no longer the same girl she was when we first met her on vacation with her dad and brother. ...Read More...   //www.tvfanatic.com/2016/11/from-dusk-till-dawn-season-3-episode-10-review-dark-side-of-the/

From Dusk Till Dawn Season 3 Episode 9 Review: Matanzas

Saddle up, ramblers, it's time for a western shootout. On From Dusk Till Dawn Season 3 Episode 9 we enter the wild, wild, west. Well, not really, but thematically that's where we're at. We've traded in our horror/slashermovie vibes for abandoned saloons, and I like it. From Dusk Till Dawn never shies away from genre, and it is one of the things that makes the show so great. It's always fun to change things up and spend an episode in an abandoned mental hospital or in a ghost town. These change ups create stellar episodes, and you can't help but get excited whenever you realize the show is dipping its toe into another genre. ...  Read More...   //www.tvfanatic.com/2016/10/from-dusk-till-dawn-season-3-episode-9-review-matanzas/

From Dusk Till Dawn Season 3 Episode 8 Review: Rio Sangre

Can someone please explain to me why Carlos is back?? On From Dusk Till Dawn Season 3 Episode 8 , Kisa returns, and for some reason, she revived Carlos. I'm sorry, why did she choose to bring back her abuser? I seemed to have missed that explanation. I expected a damn good reason whenever I saw what Kisa was up to. Instead, it's like she brought him back on the off chance that he could be useful. Nope, that doesn't work for me. ...Read More...   //www.tvfanatic.com/2016/10/from-dusk-till-dawn-season-3-episode-8-review-rio-sangre/

From Dusk till Dawn Review: “La Llorona”

This action-packed season of From Dusk till Dawn: The Series has been great throughout, and last week’s episode ended in a pretty big moment that left the audience in suspense for a week. Let’s take a look at what happened in the new episode, "La Llorona." The episode opens with Aiden at a gathering of Xiabulba supporters in which a Culebra is being sacrificed for Amaru. The scene is one of the gorier ones in recent memory, and it continues to show that From Dusk till Dawn is committed to just going all-out for this season. This series has always been at its best when it builds its own thing and goes bonkers, and, based on the past couple of episodes, it seems like that’s exactly what’s happening. READ MORE...

From Dusk Till Dawn Season 3 Episode 7 Review: La Llorona

Burt is prepared for just about everything. On From Dusk Till Dawn Season 3 Episode 7 , Burt just happened to have a pen capable of holding Amaru and all the required equipment for an exorcism. You can find just about anything in a gas station nowadays. The exorcism storyline was bound to happen sometime. The super creepy horror movie vibes that came with it were expected, but what wasn't were the conversations between Seth and Amaru/Kate. Those came out of nowhere just to sucker punch you in the gut. ...Read More...   //www.tvfanatic.com/2016/10/from-dusk-till-dawn-season-3-episode-7-review-la-llorona/

From Dusk till Dawn Review: Enter the Asylum

We’re well into the second act of this season of From Dusk till Dawn: The Series, and all of the pieces seem to be in place to lead us to the end. Let’s take a look at this week’s new episode, "STRAITJACKET." The episode opens five months earlier at the point that Kate was just breaking out of her asylum stay while possessed by Amaru. We finally see more of what happened that day, fully witnessing some creepy and powerful abilities that the girl has. Madison Davenport is doing a remarkable job as the possessed girl this season, and the opening scene of "STRAITJACKET" is a perfect example of her skill. READ MORE...

From Dusk Till Dawn Season 3 Episode 6 Review: Straitjacket

All right, who called for a horror movie? On From Dusk Till Dawn Season 3 Episode 6 , Amaru locked up Richie in an abandoned asylum. The setting alone should have given everyone a clue about what kind of hour this was going to be. We went full on horror/slasher movie, and it was amazing. This was such a creepy hour of TV, and the departure from the normal tone of a Dusk episode takes was a lot of fun. It worked really well. There was only one thing that I really hated, but I'll get into that later. ...Read More...   //www.tvfanatic.com/2016/10/from-dusk-till-dawn-season-3-episode-6-review-straitjacket/

From Dusk Till Dawn Season 3 Episode 5 Review: Shady Glen

Who knew that eating bath salts would turn you into a cannibal! On From Dusk Till Dawn Season 3 Episode 5 , the Geckos and company take a trip to Shady Glen, a peaceful neighborhood in the suburbs. The Geckos have never seemed more out of place, and it was absolutely hilarious. It could have been really funny to watch Seth and Richie try to calm the herd of townspeople, but I'll settle for them letting Reuben tag along. Plus, we got to experience Seth act as a leader by getting everyone to work together, even if it was for five minutes.   Read More...   //www.tvfanatic.com/2016/09/from-dusk-till-dawn-season-3-episode-5-review-shady-glen/

From Dusk Till Dawn Season 3 Episode 4 Review: Fanglorious

It's probably for the best if you don't think about Amaru knew Seth had a soul after watching him react to Kate still being alive. On From Dusk Till Dawn Season 3 Episode 4 , Kate and Amarubrought the pain, and it was glorious. Between all the Fuller family emotions that got kicked up again and Seth learning that Kate was still alive after giving up on her, this was an emotional ordeal. ...Read More...   //www.tvfanatic.com/2016/09/from-dusk-till-dawn-season-3-episode-4-review-fanglorious/
