'Grey's Anatomy' Season 7, Episode 10 Recap (VIDEO)

In an episode that just happened to have Christmas music playing in the background, Derek took Cristina fishing, Meredith and Owen argued, Bailey was still on a search for a solution to fistulas, Callie gained a backbone, and Teddy was given a re-hashed storyline.  This episode of  'Grey's Anatomy' really had nothing to do with Christmas, except for the occasional decor in the hospital. Instead, this episode chugged along with several of the plotlines we've been following this season, without any resolutions in sight. It was interesting seeing Jamie Chung ('Dragonball Evolution') as one of the patients this week, because I still remember her from when she was on 'The Real World: San Diego.' I know that her part was small and a bit forgettable, but she did show some decent acting chops, so maybe she'll prove more interesting in 'The Hangover Part II.' The most enjoyable part of the episode was the interaction between Derek and Cristina on their fishing trip. Not enough time was spent on the whole sequence of events. Sandra Oh really put her acting chops out there when she went from the comedic (well-informed via the internet) to the emotional (the tears as she held her prize fish). It's a bit odd thinking that the Derek/Meredith relationship revolves around Cristina and even in the bedroom all they talk about is Cristina. To Read More  Click Here.

'Grey's Anatomy' recap: Fishing for Trouble

We knew we were in for a bit of a strange trip as soon as we heard Cristina and Derek would be going fishing together. For starters, since when is anyone off when the rest of the main characters are working? There was also the matter of  Cristina going fishing.  "There are no bathrooms out there, you know," Meredith told her at the door. "I know," Cristina answered, infusing the exchange with infinite meaning. From there, it was an hour full of weird-but-mostly-cool character pairings, like Cristina and Derek, whose bond this season has grown into its own — and slightly far-fetched, but still (mostly) satisfying — leaps. Take, for instance, the Callie-Mark shower scene, the quintessential weird-but-cool couple-who-isn’t-a-couple on this show. Their banter while showering together post-sex — complete with her quite unsexily brushing her teeth — was among my favorite exchanges ever on this show. "It just makes me miss Arizona," Callie said of sleeping with him. "Sex with you just makes me sad." He countered: "Last night when we were doing it, I was thinking about Lexie." Her response: "Okay, now that’s just rude." From anyone else, I wouldn’t buy this bisexual woman/hetero guy best friendship-with-benefits-but-nothing-more. From them, it’s as easy as spitting toothpaste down the drain in the shower. To Read More  Click Here.

GREY’S ANATOMY “Adrift and At Peace” Review

Just when I thought this week’s Grey’s Anatomy was just drifting along, it pulled a few punches at the end. Why don’t we start with those? Arizona is back! She missed Callie so much, she gave up her dream grant and her dream job. Heck, she even admitted that she loved it while she was doing it, but that all that mattered was Callie. Apparently, Callie is not on that loveboat as she shut the door in Arizona’s face. That was one of the most perfectly directed visual scenes in Grey’s. The viewer first realizes the door is closing by the look on Arizona’s face as it turns from an excited and weepy smile to a look of confusion, hurt and extreme sadness and then ultimately fades away as the door shuts. I get where Callie is coming from. She was dumped by her girlfriend in an airport on her way to Africa and after she had packed up everything in her life and given up her job. However, she had to realize that Arizona was right, Africa would never have worked for her. How do they get past the fact that Arizona was willing to break up with Callie and leave her for her dream job? Flying back in a couple of weeks, although a grand gesture, probably doesn’t take the sting out of that. Will they get over it? Sloan and Lexi are back on! After Sloan admitted that while he was having sex with Callie he could only think about Lexi, I figured it was just a matter of time until they were together again. I did not expect it to happen so soon though. Again, another well directed scene where you can see all of the changing emotions on Lexi’s face from their first kiss to their second. I really hope they stick together this time. They are a really good and endearing couple. To Read More Click here.
