'Homeland' sneak peek: Brody's visual recognition, Carrie's gamble

Showtime's terror thriller, "Homeland," was picked up for a second season earlier this week, which raises all sorts of questions about what an extended series will look like since the Israeli series on which the show is based, "Hatufim," aired for only one season. But we'll have plenty of time to puzzle that out.In the show's immediate future, Brody (Damian Lewis) is about to come face-to-face with the man who tortured him during his captivity. In the clip below, we see Brody's reaction when he finds out the CIA has his tormenter in custody. Warning: It's slightly graphic.Meanwhile, Carrie (Claire Danes) seems to be hot on the heels of a terror money trail that leads straight to a suburban D.C.-area home. Will a search of the premises yield any information connecting the dots to terror mastermind Abu Nazir? Or to Brody himself?... //blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2011/10/homeland-sneak-peek-brodys-visual-recognition-carries-gamble.html

Homeland: Renewed for Season 2!

Carrie Mathison will stick around to hunt down terrorists for another season. Showtime has announced that Homeland has been picked up for season number-two, as the drama has been generating strong ratings and very positive reviews, including from TV Fanatic. We think it's by far the best new series on television. " Homeland is just getting started," said David Nevins, President of Entertainment, Showtime Networks Inc. "Clearly, the overall audience growth from week one to week four demonstrates that this show is hitting a nerve in the cultural zeitgeist. "[Executive producers Howard Gordon and Alex Gansa] have created a psychological thriller that holds special relevance in the post 9/11 world. I’m quite confident that its passionate audience will be riveted as the season unfolds and people discover where this story is going." //www.tvfanatic.com/2011/10/homeland-renewed-for-season-2/

Homeland Trailer: Revenge for Brody?

Carrie befriended Brody to conclude the most recent episode of Homeland . Or maybe she was just feeling him out in person. Or perhaps she had truly become addicted to following this man's life. Indeed, the interaction between central Homeland characters on " Semper I " was fascinating to deconstruct. Look for things to get even more interesting this Sunday, as Brody actually confronts the man who tortured him. Will he ask for face time with this terrorist out of revenge? Or out of fear that he'll blow Brody's cover? Watch the official Showtime trailer now and see if you can get an idea: //www.tvfanatic.com/2011/10/homeland-trailer-revenge-for-brody/

With Her Surveillance Cut, Carrie Makes Contact With Brody on 'Homeland' (VIDEO)

With her hands completely tied by bureaucracy and the law, Carrie had no choice but to remove her surveillance cameras from the Brody household on this week's 'Homeland' (Sun., 10PM ET on Showtime). In four weeks, she'd not come up with a shred of evidence linking him to the growing terrorist plot she's officially working on. But Carrie is certain, so rather than sit at home and stare where all her monitors used to be, she went to his house to stake him out the good old-fashioned way. When he left to go to a support group for veterans -- we admit to being a bit surprised that's where he actually went -- she followed him there and came up with a new plan. //www.aoltv.com/2011/10/24/surveillance-cut-carrie-makes-contact-brody-homeland-video/

Homeland: On the Set of Showtime's Twisty New Thriller

In Homeland , terrorist plots aren't dismantled in 24 hours and the hero doesn't save the day by slaughtering suspects. Ten years after the horror of 9/11, good and evil are sometimes far from black-and-white. "This is not 24 , which had a muscular response to what happened on 9/11," says British actor Damian Lewis , who plays Sgt. Nicholas Brody, the Marine who's become a hero after eight years of imprisonment by Al Qaeda, on the set near Charlotte. "It was a show for its time. Now we live in a world where people are divided about the best way to wage war on terror." //www.tvguide.com/News/Homeland-Set-Showtime-1038866.aspx?rss=breakingnews

'Homeland' preview: Brody steps into the spotlight, Carrie watches

In Sunday's (Oct. 23) episode of Showtime's "Homeland," Brody (Damian Lewis) is stepping further into the public eye as politicians attempt to use him as a tool in the war (of words) on terror. Meanwhile, Carrie (Claire Danes) is trying to zero in on the link between Brody and terrorist mastermind Abu Nazir. Saul's (Mandy Patinkin) advice: Follow the money. She's also starting to enjoy her ability to eavesdrop on Brody's homelife. In the first clip below, we watch Carrie watching Brody -- she's convinced he's having more "paranoid hallucinations" and, based on this clip, she may be right:Next, Carrie, Saul and their boss, David (David Harewood) brief their team about the missing Saudi necklace that may be the next link in the chain between Brody and Abu Nazir:... //blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2011/10/homeland-preview-brody-steps-into-the-spotlight-carrie-watches.html
