Jake And Amir Duo To Return To Web After TV Project Peters Out

For more than two years, Jake Hurwitz and Amir Blumenfeld have worked on a TV pilot adapted from their hit CollegeHumor web series, Jake and Amir . Now, the comedy duo has revealed that their pilot will not go forward to series, and as a result, a return to the web is in the cards for them. Hurwitz and Blumenfeld discussed the status of their pilot in the 189th episode of their podcast, If I Were You . They confirmed that they would not come to TVat least not yetbut they pledged to continue their creative partnership. TV still exists. The Internet still exists, said Blumenfeld during the podcast. Did they have any idea their series Jake and Amir would be a hit? Not quite: They didn't even know they were making a series. Hurwitz talked to us about the show's unlikely evolution. Fast Company: You started the show in 2007 and pretty quickly became a fan favorite. Any tips for starting a series? Jake Hurwitz: We actually had no idea we were creating a series at the time we were doing it. I just thought Amir was so funny, and I had this crappy camera.
