Kamigami no Asobi Episode 12 Review & Final Thoughts

I have to say, for an otome anime with only twelve episodes to layout everyone’s routes and storylines, Kamigami was done exceedingly well. They pulled the most problematic aspects of Balder and Loki’s route and centered them as the main conflict as the climax event before the conclusion of the series. Kamigami no Asobi Episode 11 Review

So we left off with Balder falling unconscious after that ridiculous school pay. The atmosphere of the story takes a turn for the worst. Man Loki and Balder are the ultimate otp bromance. Apollon accompanies Yui to check up on Balder with some apples. They overheard Loki and Thor talking about Balder’s “something” (definitely Balder’s weapon of mass destruction and dark back story stuff). They hear Loki say that he’ll kill Balder himself and even though Apollon tries to make light of it… it’s not a joke. When Balder’s emotions get unstable, he goes into a rampage… Read More... //littlecloudcuriosity.com/2014/06/14/kamigami-no-asobi-episode-11-review/

Kamigami no Asobi Episode 10 Review

Thoth rewards the class for their decent midterm grades by  tasking  giving his students the opportunity to do a play. Apollon suggests Cinderella and nominates himself as the prince LOL Naturally all the gods want to be the prince. Yui suggests drawing lots to assign the roles. LOL since Yui wants the decision to be fair, she might not end up as Cinderella… haha I’m sure this will end up hilariously… AND IT DID. Kamigami no Asobi Episode 9 Review

The episode begins with Yui’s dream. She finds herself witnessing a memory of Apollo’s – Apollo is speaking to a girl in the forest, judging by their outfits, they are in ancient Greece. Apollo promises that he and the mortal girl will be together forever because his love for her will never change. As a token of his love, he grants her the divine gift of prophecy. At first I didn’t like how they changed up the myth because the myth says Cassandra refused Apollo’s gift and he forced the gift on her, he cursed her to be always correct but always disbelieved by others. In the myth, Cassandra also refuses Apollo’s advances Read More... //littlecloudcuriosity.com/2014/06/02/kamigami-no-asobi-episode-9-review/

Kamigami no Asobi Episode 8 review

Last week’s episode’s confrontation wraps up with Loki asking Balder why Balder keeps making him suffer but after Loki drives Yuki away from the scene, everything seems to return to normal after. Yui runs off from the stand to avoid Balder. Hades waters Dionysus’s flowers at the gardening club’s booth, Apollon’s made creepy life size Santa Claus candles at his booth, Thoth harasses more students, Loki and Thor are selling  candies. The  usual right? Kamigami no Asobi Episode 7 Review

This week’s episode turns to Balder (my tragic sweet baby). Zeus has currently made it winter at the academy. Since Balder has some destructive and tragic mythology behind him, you can try and imagine how his route goes… Balder tells Yui that his mother once made all of creation vow never to harm him out of fear for his death, which is why all things that mean him harm avoid him. Kamigami no Asobi Episode 6 Review

Tsukito catches Hades sneaking rice cakes for lunch and confiscates them. Loki is caught for all his toys, games and candies. He nearly harasses Yui for randomly grabbing her skirt… just before he passes out. Tsukito has literally no idea how social cues work nor is he able to take care of himself as a human. Still, I admire Tsukito’s discipline as s student. Thoth-sensei on the other hand is not as forgiving. His nicknames of the gods are still pretty hilarious though  XD Read More... //littlecloudcuriosity.com/2014/05/16/kamigami-no-asobi-episode-6-review/

Kamigami no Asobi Episode 4 Review

In this episode of Kamigami no Asobi, Yui attempts to teach the gods about humans through club activities. Baldr and Apollon want to try tennis. Dionysus wants to try gardening. Loki’s into the home club… as is Thor (who probably just wants to tag along to his brother). Hades is into astronomy but refuses to join a club. He seems the most reluctant to participate in anything concerning others.   Read More... //littlecloudcuriosity.com/2014/05/05/kamigami-no-asobi-episode-4-and-5-review/

Kamigami no Asobi Episode 5 Review

Apollon, as Student Council President encourages Takeru to gives the club activities a try despite Takeru’s passive attitude. Thoth sensei is starting to get impatient. I LOVE Thoth’s nicknames for all the gods. It’s absolutely hilarious. Thoth presses Yui to be quicker with the gods. After all, none of the little vials in the chandelier are lit up yet. Kamigami no Asobi Episode 3 Review

The classes are surprisingly normal, starting with biology… well, pretty normal for Yui, Tsukiyomi is taking notes like a madman, Apollon is shocked by the complexities of lessons and Dionysus seems to be napping. Everyone panics when a little bit of chaos breaks out in the classroom. Thoth leaves out of frustration because no one takes his lessons seriously. Thoth threatens Yui when she attempts to convince him to return to the lesson and he reminds her that if the gods don’t learn by the end of the year, they will be trapped in the garden academy forever.   Read More... //littlecloudcuriosity.com/2014/04/22/kamigami-no-asobi-episode-2-and-3-review/
