Steve and Kate try to convince Hastings to bring Dryden in for questioning, but find the DCC uncooperative and frosty when the interview finally is undertaken. They face a further problem when Hargreaves and his team beat them to bringing Richard Akers in for questioning. Lindsay is granted permission to visit her dying mother at her nursing home, but on the return journey her prison car is run off the road. Fleeing for her life, Lindsay finds herself confronted with two corrupt police officers; one of which murdered Georgia Trottman.
