The Ingalls' neighbor, the widow Julia Sanderson, finds out that she will die soon. She asks Charles to find a good home for her three children. After Julia dies, Charles has a difficult time finding someone that will take all three of the children.
This was a good show despite the absurd notion of a sixteen year old doctor, and the name. Neil Patrick Harris has talent and makes the show, so I would say it is worth watching.
mom made me watch it hahaha
Doogie Howser, MD was wonderfully funny with a touch of life. The writing was consistently sharp and witty, and pretty mature. An accurate, mature show with humorous elements in it rather then a screwball comedy. It sent out a positive message, there was no violence or explicit sex. It was funny, touching, and you could learn something. It managed to combine humor and drama in a good way that kept the viewer interested and entertained. Despite the fact that it was somewhat melodramatic in a few episodes, it still provides numerous lessons about life and the real world.
A young Neil Patrick Harris. Great talent was already showing at such a young age.
