Lupin decides to participate in a classic car race because he wants the first prize – the dictionary that once belonged to Napoleon. It may not contain the word "impossible", but it DOES contain directions to Lupin's grandfather's treasure – a treasure literally sought by the whole world, since the G7 nations want it in order to rebuild the world economy after the Gulf war. No one knows where or what it is, but it's said to be worth trillions of dollars – and Lupin, being the rightful heir, is assumed to be the one to ask.
