Good friends Andrew and Kumar went head to head in an Elimination Challenge in which they each had eight steps to rectify a Massaman curry. The two contestants both had very different preparation methods, with mind-games taking place as they took it in turns to watch each other’s steps. Their peers could only watch from the balcony, concerned that both Andrew and Kumar seemed to have overlooked two primary components of a Massaman: potatoes and peanuts. The judges saw strengths and weaknesses in both dishes, but marginally gave Kumar the nod, keeping him safe for another week.
