The Elimination Challenge in Stanley began with a Skills Test – the contestants having to cook the perfect medium rare steak. Kylie, Ben, Andy and Sam were the first contestants found to have either under or overcooked their meat, sending them through to the second round: an onion ring cook-off. Kylie and Ben most impressed, keeping them safe and leaving Andy and Sam to compete in the final round. The cook-off took place at the Stanley Hotel, with both contestants having to cook one dish for 50 people. Andy (cooking beef cheek) and Sam (cooking crayfish) both showed superb skill as well as sportsmanship throughout the preparation and service. The quality of their food and exemplary conduct in the kitchen gave the judges no choice but to declare a tie and keep them both in the competition.
