Mistresses Review: The Wrong Man!

The final scene of  Mistresses Season 2 Episode 13  had me yelling  WTF?!?  at my TV. A pairing that sounded intriguing at the beginning of the season had me cringing by the end.  Why? Because Scott and Joss are so darn perfect for one another. Although I'll admit that there was a part of me trying to determine if planning their wedding was sweet or controlling. In the end I went with sweet. I think Scott really wanted to make sure getting married wasn't just another job for her, and he really wanted to be her husband. Mistresses Review: What Happened to Harry?

It's been a while since we've seen Harry's mean side but it certainly reared its ugly head in  Mistresses Season 2 Episode 12  and unfortunately, things may never be the same.  Poor Joss never saw it coming. First her mother-in-law-to-be dropped the love and kisses act and let her snarky side show through as she told Joss that all of that talk about Harry was "unseemly" and then tried to cover Joss' cleavage. If that wasn't a sneak peek of things to come I don't know what was. After stumbling upon Harry doing a full frontal for Greta (apparently his twig and berries live up to the "Harry" moniker) I had to laugh when Harry told Joss she was acting inappropriate when she called him out for sleeping with Greta. I'm pretty sure that having sex with the boss on top of a table at work actually ranks higher on the inappropriate list.  Read More... //www.tvfanatic.com/2014/08/mistresses-review-what-happened-to-harry/

Mistresses Review: A Taut, Tan, Toni Takedown

Joss was getting married.  Savi  and Dom broke up . And April's ex-sexy-smoldering artist turned out to be an undercover FBI agent trying to get info on her ex-not-so-dead-husband.   Yeah, things got complicated on  Mistresses Season 2 Episode 11  but it was hard to complain when we got to see super sweet Scott standing there all wet and glistening in his low slung towel. Mistresses Review: Sexy, Smoldering, Secret Agent

We all knew there had to be more to sexy, smoldering Daniel when April dumped his lying, cheating butt a coupled of weeks ago - but did anyone expect him to be working for the FBI? Talk about going above and beyond to get the job done. I'd love to read the reports he filed on exactly what it took to get those listening devices planted in April's home.  However, let's back up a step as we review  Mistresses Season 2 Episode 10 .  Read more:  //www.tvfanatic.com/2014/08/mistresses-review-sexy-smoldering-secret-agent/#ixzz3AxqphVX5

Mistresses Review: Getting Hands On

Any episode that opens with Harry shirtless, glistening wet and wearing nothing but a low-slung towel is already a winner in my book. So  Mistresses Season 2 Episode 9  definitely started out strong.  When Harry walked in and started talking about the type of cuts he could get his hands on, it wasn't hard to imagine what Joss wanted to get her hands on. I couldn't really blame her for that fish-mouthed stare as she ogled her ex-brother-in-law's impeccably sexy abs.  Read more:  //www.tvfanatic.com/2014/08/mistresses-review-getting-hands-on/#ixzz3AxVqIBfR

Mistresses Review: Trouble With Goodbyes

What does it say about you when your therapist has to pour himself a scotch during one of your sessions? It says you're Dr. Karen Kim, the ridiculously messed up gift that keeps on giving on  Mistresses Season 2 Episode 8 . Just watching her made me want to ask that man to pour me one too.   So Karen realizes that her suicidal hooker/patient is actually Jacob's ex-girlfriend. Does she discuss this debacle with him like a rational human being, especially since he's a doctor too and can understand the ethical dilemma?  Heck no! This is Karen. She makes up some lie about her therapist saying she shouldn't date for a year and ditches Jacob over lunch.  Read more:  //www.tvfanatic.com/2014/07/mistresses-review-trouble-with-goodbyes/#ixzz38VamEQPb

Mistresses Review: Stupid Choices

Well, we all make stupid choices, especially if we're the women of  Mistresses Season 2 Episode 7 . This week the ladies decided to change things up a bit as Karen was almost normal (No, seriously…she got close.), Savi came clean and April fell off the the sainthood bandwagon… hard! Let's start with Karen ,who inches her way back to normaldom after running into Jacob. She invites him over to dinner. He admits he lied about not having feelings for her... but there's a catch. He's dating some young, cute chick and after kissing Karen decides he needs to dump the girl first.  Read more:  //www.tvfanatic.com/2014/07/mistresses-review-stupid-choices/#ixzz38Uy6Tc7e

'Mistresses' Recap: Joss and Harry Get Offers They Can't Refuse

What the hell happened in this week's Mistresses installment, people? Almost nothing. Almost. Joss' new job opportunity storyline was the most interesting. Hands down.   The title, "An Affair to Surrender," showed great promise, but almost every storyline fell way short of my expectations. We got none of the hot hook-ups Mistresses is known for, no fabulous clothes to speak of (not even some of Scotts designer pumps) and ... did anyone even get a steamy and memorable closed-mouth kiss? *Yawn* Even the positive advancements -- Savi deciding to keep her house and Harry eschewing the land of the Vegemite sandwich to be a chef stateside again -- lacked the sultry or whiz-bang excitement we're used to with Mistresses .   Read More... //www.buddytv.com/articles/mistresses/mistresses-recap-joss-and-harr-54121.aspx

'Mistresses' Recap: Some Major Break-Ups and a Proposal Accepted

This week's Mistresses episode, "Why Do Fools Fall In Love," has everyone down on their knees begging for forgiveness. It's a veritable bloodbath of contrition as several characters find themselves in some really nasty (awesome) situations that make for great (fantastic) entertainment. Others end up totally screwed ... and not in a good way. Let's discuss.   We open slowly with Karen making a date with "tall drink of water" Jacob to cook him "dinner" at her place (food, then sex, or just sex). Don't let the slow start fool you. These two are the center of a jaw-dropping final scene. More on that in a moment.   Read More... //www.buddytv.com/articles/mistresses/mistresses-recap-everybody-is-54065.aspx

Mistresses Review: How the Universe Works

Every week I ask myself the same question: How can Karen have so much common sense about other people's lives... and such ridiculously poor  judgement  about her own? I mean, that girl can't even remember her name… Or should I say, the name she gave to her latest sexual conquest, Ben in  Mistresses Season 2 Episode 6 . The guy seems nice, funny in a self deprecating sort of a way , (What are the chances that we can pretend I didn't just squeal like a little girl? ) and completely hot.
