The Barbatos successfully repels the Gjallarhorn assault, but CGS suffers heavy casualties in the aftermath. After being severely disciplined by Haeda for luring Gjallarhorn's forces toward the retreating First Corps during the battle, Orga proposes to his comrades in the Third Corps to rebel against their elders. Meanwhile, Coral orders Crank to return to the battlefield to erase any evidence of their defeat before the Gjallarhorn inspectors from Earth find out. Crank reluctantly complies but has qualms over killing child solders.
