Tonight's TV Hot List: Friday, Nov. 20, 2009 - Featured

* Monk (9/8c USA Network ) With only three episodes left in the series, Mr. Monk becomes Detective Monk (again) when he's finally reinstated on the police force. The news is certainly welcome, but his celebrations don't last long. He starts off on the job by tracking a serial killer, but the case proves more difficult than he thought it would be. Tony Shalhoub's wife, Brooke Adams, guest-stars in tonight's episode. * Medium (9/8c CBS) The future's so bright, Allison's got to wear shades. But she's also blinded by the light, as a strange sensitivity to brightness affects her eyes and forces her to don sunglasses. She can see clearly now - perhaps too clearly: The shades bring into view mysterious numbers that might give her the ability to know people's life expectancies. Allison's paranormal visions also focus on Joe's father (Bruce Gray), a development that inspires Joe to take on a healthier lifestyle. * Larry the Cable Guy's Hula-Palooza Christmas Luau (9/8c CMT) Nothing says Christmas like a luau, which is why Larry the Cable Guy is back to Git-R-Done with this holiday special, set on the fictional island of Hula-Poola. Billy Currington and the Zac Brown Band provide musical entertainment. Comedians Reno Collier, Jon Reep, Peter Oldring and Sara Erikson perform in sketches. Also appearing are Kenan Thompson, Caroline Rhea, George Lindsey, Two Foot Fred, Tony Orlando and Angela Little MacKenzie. * Happily Ever Faster (10/9c TLC ) Each year, more than 5000 couples tie the knot at the Chapel of the Flowers in downtown Las Vegas. The weddings range from utterly romantic to downright zany, and this new unscripted series captures events that fall on both sides of the spectrum, starting with one that definitely falls into the latter category. In the premiere, chapel planner Melody has her hands full when she works with a pair of Trekkies who want her to track down William Shatner (aka Capt. Kirk) and convince him to serve as best man at their themed nuptials. * 20/20 (10/9c ABC) Sarah Palin took Going Rogue, the title of her new memoir, from a negative remark a McCain aide made about her last year. Turnabout is fair play, and when she sits down with Barbara Walters tonight, America's most famous "hockey mom" might very well fire a puck or two at the campaign staffers who disparaged her. Of course, Walters is also likely to ask the former Alaska governor about death panels, Levi Johnston (her grandson's dad) and her grasp of foreign affairs, so expect the proceedings to be lively. * Stargate Universe (9/8c Syfy ) The Stargate franchise was been very good to the man best known as MacGyver. General O'Neill (Richard Dean Anderson) makes contact again, and this time he wants the crew of the Destiny to consider a risky plan cooked up by IOA scientists that could return the unwitting space explorers to Earth. Meanwhile, Eli and Chloe use the communication stones to turn their homecoming into a happy hour. * Smallville (8/7c The CW ) In a surprising twist, Clark flips the switch when he sets out to rescue Jor-El (Julian Sands) from Zod instead of the other way around. Why Jor-El is poking around at the Kent farm is another question, but he encounters Chloe there and that's bound to be fun. Meanwhile, a misguided Zod, convinced that Jor-El is the Blur, teams up with Tess to hunt him down. This, of course, is why Clark is trying to rescue his father. * SpongeBob SquarePants (8/7c Nickelodeon) The culmination of SpongeBob's yearlong 10th-anniversary celebration coincides with Krusty Krab's special "eleventy seventh" anniversary. Unfortunately, SpongeBob and his pals are locked in a freezer on the big day, but they pass the time by sharing flashbacks. Meanwhile, Patchy the Pirate attempts to get SpongeBob and celebrity guests to appear on his TV special. Ricky Gervais narrates, Pink performs, and such stars as Robin Williams, Will Ferrell, Tina Fey and LeBron James make appearances. * Fanboy and Chum Chum (9/8c Nickelodeon) This new animated series is based on a short that debuted on Random! Cartoons. It focuses on two little boys who are so passionate about comic books that they wear their superhero costumes everywhere they go. Fanboy is the leader, and little Chum Chum is his loyal sidekick. In this first outing, they eagerly befriend a new student who was kicked out of a wizards academy. Then Fanboy learns to value Chum Chum's friendship after he temporarily trades him for a shiny new toy robot. * Monk (9/8c USA Network ) Monk knew that getting back on the Force would require him to jump through some hoops, but he's pushed to the limit when his efforts land him on a camping trip with the son of a reinstatement-committee member. Not only is he forced to spend time in nature, but Monk also has to go out of his comfort zone in order to relate to kids, which proves to be no small task. Alex Wolff of The Naked Brothers Band guest stars. Source Here

* White Collar (10/9c USA Network ) The cable net has found a new odd couple in Neal Caffrey (Matthew Bomer) and Peter Burke (Tim DeKay). The pair, a slick con man and an FBI agent, respectively, strike up an uneasy partnership after Neal proposes a deal in which he'll work with Peter to catch elusive white-collar criminals in exchange for staying out of prison. It's a tenuous truce for the foes with a long history, but it's one they're both willing to explore. Diahann Carroll guest stars as a widow who sees Neal's good side and offers him some seriously luxurious new digs. * Monk (9/8c USA Network ) It's a blast from the past for the Monk gang as Bitty Schram - a series regular from the first three seasons - guest stars in tonight's episode. Sharona returns to San Francisco to tie up some loose ends following her uncle's death, but Monk thinks there might be more to his death than meets the eye. While he investigates, Monk also tries to adjust to working simultaneously with Natalie and Sharona, and it's no small task. * The Suite Life On Deck (8:30/7:30c Disney Channel ) American Idol champion Jordin Sparks guest stars as herself in this winning episode and performs her hit single "Battlefield." When Zack learns Sparks is on the ship, he devises a get-rich-quick scheme that includes writing a song for her and convincing her to put it on her next album. Meanwhile, a pint-size London wannabe attempts to steal her idol's identity. * Ugly Betty (9/8c ABC) Last week's fourth-season premiere saw Betty emerge from Daniel's protective shadow to succeed - or fail - on her own, but as she makes her way as an editor, she'll still have to contend with a jealous Marc, who tries to undermine Betty's scoop from a top designer (Hamish Linklater). As for Daniel, his grief over Molly's passing has been all-consuming thus far, but tonight he meets a woman (Jamie-Lynn Sigler) at a support group who may be able to help him snap out of it. * Stargate Universe (9/8c Syfy ) Is the Destiny destined to crash into a star? The crew sure thinks so, which is why they came up with a grim lottery, one in the vein of the one from that famous Shirley Jackson tale. Seventeen winners get to escape in the ship's only working shuttle and the rest... could spend the last minutes of their lives working on their tans. Source Here
