It’s now Queensland’s turn to cook as soldier mates David and Scott hosted their instant restaurant. The soldier mates having entered the army a week after each other. The guys were calling their instant restaurant “The Diggers Rest” and the theme was the military. There were sandbags, WW1 memorabilia and Diggers statues all about and of course poppies. The boys welcome everyone with a glass of sherry, as is custom if you went to their mess hall. For their first dish, Pete can’t understand why they went to all this effort but presented with crackers, yet it was cooked to perfection. He thinks that the fruit doesn’t work and Manu agrees. They serve the main and Pete isn’t happy with the presentation, Manu is unhappy with his steak that is so well done. With entree and main both disasters the boys were about to serve their dessert. Pete says that the dessert is amazing and the pastry is wonderful and he’s really impressed, Manu thinks it’s perfect and loves the mango shaped like Australia. The comments show the army boys as they feared the dessert most. As the scores were given they got the first en of the season from Manu for there dessert, however it wasn't enough as they only got a fourth place with 64 only beating the Kiwis.
