How did the Earth, Unicorn, and Pegasus ponies form unity long ago, despite their bitter relations? A pageant in Canterlot, during the Hearth's Warming Eve festivities, answers this question, telling the story of Equestria's very foundation before the arrival of Discord and later the Princesses who deposed him (as is mentioned in Return of Harmony Parts 1 and 2, see above in this list for more). The play in question is portrayed by Twilight and her friends, recruited as part of the cast, who represent the three tribe leaders and their advisers.
