Rarity is invited to Manehattan's Fashion Week and brings her friends for support. She meets her old acquaintance Suri Polomare at the competition and loans her samples of her fabric out of generosity. The next day, Rarity is distraught to find Suri and her aide Coco Pommel have used the fabric to recreate her entire line. Her friends offer to forgo their planned activities to help Rarity make new dresses from the fabrics in their hotel room, but Rarity becomes increasingly panicked over the looming deadline and treats her friends poorly. Rarity's new line is praised at the show, but she notices her friends' absence and runs off to find them before she can accept her trophy. She reunites and makes up with her friends after being told by Suri that Rarity lost the competition. Coco later catches up to Rarity and gives her the trophy, explaining that Suri lied to keep it for herself. Having quit her job after being inspired by Rarity's generosity, Coco also gives her a spool of rainbow-colored thread and is offered a new job with one of Rarity's connections in return.
