Soap News: Roger Howarth Returns to 'OLTL'

The rumors were true. Emmy-award winning actor Roger Howarth is returning to 'One Life to Live.' Howarth, who was most recently Paul Ryan on 'As the World Turns,' was originally Todd Manning on 'OLTL' from 1992 through 2003 (with some time off in between). But he's back now. "We are thrilled to have Roger return to 'One Life to Live,'" said Frank Valentini, executive producer. "As 'OLTL' viewers know, Trevor St. John has been playing the role of Todd Manning since 2003. We have a great story planned that will involve both actors." Howarth was dynamic as Todd Manning, a character as complex as he is compelling. But currently the role is being played by Trevor St. John, and Trevor is not leaving 'OLTL.' The question on the mind of fans everywhere is this: if Howarth resumes the role of Todd, who has Trevor been playing all these years? Breaking: Is ABC Preparing to Cancel All My Children and One Life to Live?

God, I hope I'm wrong about this. In recent weeks, there has been a lot of highly reliable buzz about the possible cancellation of ABC's   All My Children . But   TV Guide Magazine   has learned that the network is not just planning to cancel   AMC  in the coming days but will very likely cancel   One Life to Live ,  as well. Word is, ABC Daytime chief Brian Frons has a talk show and reality show lined up for fall — both of them much cheaper to produce than soaps — and he needs to clear the schedule. More disturbing, insiders say Frons has been extremely cavalier about all this, showing no signs of sorrow or regret about a drastic decision that will leave   General Hospital as the network's only daytime soap. When contacted for comment, ABC Daytime PR chief Jori Petersen told us, "I have no announcement, and these are just rumors that you are hearing. I am sorry to hear that they're escalating but I cannot confirm anything."  //www.tvguide.com/News/ABC-Cancel-Children-1031345.aspx?rss=breakingnews

Kourtney Kardashian 'Felt Like a Prostitute' in Her 'One Life to Live' Kissing Scene (VIDEO)

Kourtney Kardashian is such a prude. She said it herself. As seen on 'Kourtney & Kim Take New York,' she absolutely freaked out about a kissing scene she was asked to do for a 'One Life to Live' guest appearance. She's still freaking out on 'The Tonight Show' (Weeknights, 11:35PM ET on NBC). It was a guest spot on her favorite show from years ago, and yet she was beside herself with anxiety and craziness over this minor aspect. Should she be surprised there's kissing on a soap opera? "I feel like a prostitute," she said of the experience. "Being paid to kiss someone." //www.tvsquad.com/2011/04/01/kourtney-kardashian-felt-like-a-prostitute-one-life-to-live-video/

Kourtney Kardashian's acting debut on 'One Life to Live': Watch!

Yesterday, Kourtney Kardashian made her acting debut on ABC’s One Life to Live . Watch her scenes below. She played personal injury attorney Kassandra Kavanaugh ("with two Ks"), and got arrested with Cristian Vega (David Fumero), after they each slugged the same guy at the gym. Brian Kerwin Exits 'One Life to Live'

In a major surprise, actor Brian Kerwin has left 'One Life to Live.'  ABC has yet to confirm the news, but multiple sources have reported the actor's exit has been storyline dictated. That means Charlie Banks is on his way out of Llanview, and Viki's marriage is -- apparently -- on the rocks. Kerwin, a critically acclaimed primetime star, has been on 'OLTL'  since 2007. During his tenure, he's received two Emmy nominations as Outstanding Supporting Actor. In fact, he's a pre-nominee for this year's Emmys , as well.  //www.tvsquad.com/2011/03/14/soap-news-young-and-restless-kin-shriner/
