Ronald D. Moore might be best known for Battlestar Galactica, but his new adaptation Outlander takes viewers into a whole new world. Adapted from Diana Gabaldon’s international best-selling books, the multi-genre Starz series follows the story of Claire Randall (Caitriona Balfe), a married combat nurse from 1945, who is mysteriously swept back in time to 1743. The first trailer from the series is now available, along with three new images. You wouldn’t expect this series to come from Moore at first glance since this first look is conspicuously free of the science fiction elements he’s become known for, but it’s certainly a unique take on a relationship tale.
