Ash, Iris, Cilan, and Stephan arrive in a town where a new tournament sponsored by don George called the Clubsplosion is to be held. In the tournament they are only allowed to use one Pokémon, making it a challenging tournament. At registration they are reunited with Bianca, Trip, Burgundy, and Georgia who are all also entering. As the tournament gets underway and rivalries boil to a maximum, but who will make it past round one?
