A Twin Peaks Reunion on Psych!

What, no dancing dwarf?   Psych  pays homage to the 20th anniversary of  Twin Peaks  with "Dual Spires," a supersize episode that finds kooky crimebusters Shawn (James Roday) and Gus (Dule Hill) investigating the murder of a high-school girl in a quaint mountain town.  It's David Lynch all the way — from the corpse wrapped in plastic to the guest cast, which includes  Peaks veterans Sheryl Lee, Sherilyn Fenn, Dana Ashbrook, Robyn Lively, Lenny Von Dohlen, Ray Wise and even "Log Lady" Catherine Coulson. "This reunion was a great gift because a lot of us had lost touch — we had a blast!" says Lee (original corpse Laura Palmer).   Psych  creator Steve Franks says he's wanted to do this tribute for years. " Twin Peaks  was so bold and influential and spat in the face of everything we thought about television," notes the executive producer.  "We all bow at the altar of Lynch.  Nothing would make us more depressed than him hating this episode!" Psych  airs Wednesdays at 10/9c on USA. Source Here

'Psych' Pays Homage to 'Twin Peaks' and Star James Roday Talks About the Tribute

'Psych' is all about having goofy good fun, so what's behind the USA show's homage to the twisted classic 'Twin Peaks,' which airs 10PM ET Wednesday?  'Psych' star James Roday said in a recent interview he'd wanted to pay tribute to David Lynch's weird TV classic since the lighthearted detective show first began, but the timing wasn't quite right until now. "We were certainly not ready in our first two seasons, because we were figuring out our identity, but once we established that we can do these tribute-type episodes and we like paying homage to other stuff we love, it became more real," Roday said of the episode, brings together a host of 'Peak' veterans, including Sheryl Lee, Ray Wise, Dana Ashbrook and Sherilynn Fenn. "Because the show is near and dear to me, I wanted it to be done the right way, and it had to be the right story. I didn't want to rush it."  To Read More  Click Here.

Psych Season Six Spoilers: Vampires Ahead!

Yes, you read that headline correctly, Psych fans. While this USA hit still has a number of season five episodes remaining - up next: the December 1 homage to Twin Peaks - star James Roday tells Entertainment Weekly he has a few ideas in mind already for season six. Roday says he's hoping the show airs a vampire-themed episode and a musical, among other ideas. "We’re going to try to come up with something that feels relatively fresh because there’s already spoofs on spoofs on spoofs at this point," the actor said. "But if we got to the end of the run on the show and had never done anything with vampires, I certainly would regret it." Source Here

Utter ridiculousness prevails in Psych‘s Dec. 1 Twin Peaks tribute (would we have it any other way?), which sends the guys to a tiny town during its Cinnamon Festival to solve a case. Seven original Peaks cast members make appearances, arguably the most exciting being Sherilyn Fenn’s turn as the town’s cherry-referencing, saddle shoe-wearing librarian Maudette Hornsby. The rest is, as star James Roday put told us, "loaded up like a baked potato" full of references, including the Julee Cruise-treated opening credits we previously told you about. (DVR PSA: The episode is so packed that it runs 7.5 minutes longer than normal. Plan accordingly.) In moments unrelated to Peaks, I give you four words: Shawn, Gus, and tandem bicycle. And bonus scoop, because I like you: After a one-year absence, the show will once again have a Christmas-themed episode that Roday described as "It’s a Wonderful Life on acid." Source Here

'Psych' season 6 scoop: Vampire, musical episodes in the works!

You haven’t even seen Psych‘s highly anticipated Twin Peaks homage episode yet (Dec. 1, hurry the hell up!), but the show is already looking to season 6. Oh, the perks of early renewal. Series star James Roday (who penned the upcoming Peaks tribute and last season’s Hitchcock-inspired hour) told EW exclusively that the show has plans for a vampire-themed episode, a musical, and a nod to the greatest baseball movies of the past. 'Psych' preview: Fall season marks turning point for Shawn and Juliet

Romance is hardly the focus of "Psych" -- unless you count the chemistry between James Roday and Dulé Hill -- but there has always been some sexual tension for Shawn (Roday) and Juliet (Maggie Lawson). And barring the occasional flirtation or acknowledgment of possible interest, down the line, the show has been content not really going there for the last five seasons. To Read More Click here.
