Teddy wants to prove that ghosts do not exist, so he, his sister Haley, and his friend Sean go to a supposidly haunted asyulm. After it being revealed that everyone inside died in a fire, its also revealed that anyone who was caught after "Lights Out" that they would be operated on by the assylum's doctor, Dr. Sturgess. The ghosts tried to protect them by locking them in a room minutes before Lights out, but they thought the ghosts weretrying to hurt them so they escaped. Teddy got caught by the ghost of Dr. Sturgess and was operated by the ghost. In the end, Teddy was so traumatized by Dr. Sturgess' ghost operating on him, that all he could do was mutter "Lights out" over and over. They had gotten it on camera an posted in on the internet,but when other kids watched the video that Teddy, Sean and Haley shot and posted on the internet, they thought it was fake (even though it wasn't).
