Reign Recap 3/17/17: Season 4 Episode 5 “Highland Games”

Reign begins tonight with a mother enjoying a picnic with her son Adrian when he vanishes into the forest. Catherine (Megan Follows) and Lord Narcisse (Craig Paker) reveal to King Charles (Spencer MacPherson) that he is the one who took the child, not a bear nor wolf. When he denies it was him, she reminds him of his servants who see him return from those very words with blood on his mouth. Narcisse reveals he overheard two Dukes discussing whether they should use a silver bullet or a stake to cure the King; Charles says that is treason but Catherine says the real threat is his sister Queen Leesa (Anastasia Phillips); if she thinks he is possessed, there will be no bargaining or discussion; she will send in the Spanish army for an Inquisition where not even the King will be safe. Catherine and Narcisse say they will find the beast but King Charles needs to make some regal appearances, ceremonies and accommodations. Reign Recap 3/3/17: Season 4 Episode 4 “Playing With Fire”

Reign begins tonight with 2 young boys fencing in the forest finding a young woman, Bianca (Sofia Banzhaf) nearly strangled to death as Narcisse (Craig Parker) and Catherine (Magan Follows) discuss how King Charles (Spencer MacPherson) chose to bring Bianca to the woods to view the corpses of dead soldiers than bed her. Catherine denies that Charles is a necrophiliac, and they need to stop the gossip. In England, Queen Elizabeth is upset that Gideon (Ben Geurens) is late, but he explains he is a widow and was up all night with his daughter, Agatha. After berating him, she reveals that the Vatican has sent an envoy to her Catholic nobles and seek an alliance with Darnley (Will Kemp) and Queen Mary (Adelaide Kane); and against her. She orders Gideon to go remind these nobles of they turn against her they will be put to death. Gideon suggests she wins them over and swing their votes and loyalties to her side, to avoid more English bloodshed. She agrees to try it his way, for now. READ MORE...

Reign Recap 2/24/17: Season 4 Episode 3 “Leaps of Faith”

Reign begins tonight with Queen Mary (Adelaine Kane) discussing with Prince Magnus (Kyle Gatehouse) the pros and cons between Denmark and Scotland. As Mary leaves their conversation she sees her brother, James (Dan Jeannotte) talking to Emily Knox (Claire Hunter). Mary asks James how the courting of Mrs. Knox going; explaining how important it is for him get close to her to find out her husband’s secrets, his plans and alliances against her. She didn’t enjoy her time with the pompous Danish Prince either. She is still determined to court Lord Darnley (Will Kemp) because together they can be a real threat against Queen Elizabeth (Rachel Skarsten). She wonders what is keeping Darnley in England. Lord Darnley shares with his mother that he is going to marry his love, Keira (Sara Garcia) and doesn’t care to be King. He is bothered that Mary continues to see royal suitors but his mother tells him that is only to keep him interested; and all she is asking is for him to meet Queen Mary. READ MORE...

Reign Recap 2/17/17: Season 4 Episode 2 “A Grain of Deception”

Reign begins tonight in Scotland near the English border, where a wagon is stopped and the English guards chop off one of the men’s hands. Queen Mary (Adelaide Kane) confronts her brother, James (Dan Jeannotte) about being against her marriage plans to Lord Darnley (Will Kemp), which she needs to happen to save her. He tells her she needs to save her country first, and she sees the man who was badly wounded by the English guards. The guards seized what they were delivering, on Scottish land. Mary is concerned they villagers will starve without the supplies. Mary is furious this is the third time this has happened and she was promised it wouldn’t happen again; she demands to know how the English knew of their movements all three times. READ MORE...

Reign Premiere Recap 2/10/17: Season 4 Episode 1 “With Friends Like These”

Reign season 4 premiere begins with Queen Mary (Adelaide Kane) sword training in Scotland, determined to be the winner between her and Queen Elizabeth (Rachel Skarsten). Mary discusses marrying Lord Darnley (Will Kemp) and hopefully produce an heir, unlike Elizabeth who refuses both. She insists that Scotland is Protestant now and even if she were to marry a Catholic man, it will remain Protestant. In England, Elizabeth is meeting with Lord Darnley’s mother, who quips that he isn’t there because she can barely read letters these days; but Elizabeth confronts her with the fact that she is exchanging letters with Mary. Elizabeth reveals that Mary is her enemy and if Darnley pursues her, he will be her enemy too. She orders that Darnley comes to court or she will have him dragged there on his knees. READ MORE...
