Review of Sense8

60 minutes

Sense8 is centered around eight characters that live in different cities around the world who experience a violent vision, and soon find themselves mentally connected by this experience. They are suddenly able to see and talk to each other as though they were in the same place, and have access to each other's deepest secrets. Not only must these eight adapt to this new ability and to each other, they must figure out what happened and why and what it means for the future of humanity, while being hunted by an organization out to capture, kill or vivisect them.

Mutation and evolution. The Wachowski-BroSis pulled a new white rabbit out of the hat - and (as Neo did) do follow it.
This show is weird, mind-boggling and a gem.
8 people around the world are suddenly connected through their thoughts. Someone is chasing them and their "kind" and they need to find out what they really are.
It is not a action filled, CGI polluted Sci-Fy - it is something different and pure. If you do not like it right away, stay with it and you will see the "magic" it will unveil.
Edit: It took me longer than I wanted, but I watched season 2 - and what a season it was. I actually do not know where to start. Storyteling, camera work and sceneries, soundtrack, the story itself and of course the actors. This show did mature like a fine Bordeaux or Barolo. *Spoiler* The final episode gets a little too action driven for my taste, but I do get that a "Tokyo Drift" style action scene might pick up more viewers (I know it was not Tokyo but Seoul). The last time the Wachowskis really impressed me was Matrix (part one) and now Sense8. Watch it!
