Smallville Suits Up Supergirl!

Smallville offers an exciting glimpse of what's to come for Clark Kent in the show's final season with the October 8 return of V's Laura Vandervoort as Clark's cousin Kara, who has been MIA for almost two years. "Kara returns in a very heroic way," Laura tells me. "When I found out this could be my last episode, I thought it would be great to see a quick glimpse of her in the uniform before she takes off." Lucky Laura's getting her wish! "You really see her as Supergirl," says exec producer Kelly Souders. "Not the whole outfit, but her wardrobe will have evolved even a little more than Clark's. She's less Kara and way more Supergirl." Watch for Kara to don her new look for a photo shoot after she becomes a media darling following a heroic save that reveals her flying capabilities to the world. To protect her superhero identity, "You'll see Kara in the [brunette] wig and glasses [as] a bit of an homage to her other identity from the comics, Linda Lee Danvers," Laura says. Might Clark be inspired to further define his own blurred personas? Souders hints, "Kara has a lot of input down the road in Clark's transformation into Superman." Source Here

'Smallville' resurrects Lionel Luthor!

This may be the closest thing to a Michael Rosenbaum comeback we get, so enjoy it people: John Glover has signed on to reprise his role as Lex’s late pa, Lionel, for multiple episodes during Smallville‘s 10th and final season, sources confirm to me exclusively. Glover last graced the Smallville canvas at the end of season 7 when Lex pushed his father out a window to his death. (He appeared briefly in season 8 via archival footage.) The actor is booked for at least two episodes, both of which are expected to air in November. Glover joins a growing list of Smallville alums rejoining the show in its final season. That list includes John Schneider (Pa Kent), Laura Vandervoort (Supergirl), James Marsters (Brainiac), and Michael Shanks (Hawkman). Thoughts? Theories as to how Lionel will be brought back from the dead? Still holding out hope for a father/son reunion before The End? Source Here

Smallville Exclusive: General Lane, Lucy Lane to Return

Lois Lane's family is making a return visit to Smallville! General Sam Lane (Michael Ironside) and Lucy Lane (Peyton List), the father and wild-child sister of Lois (Erica Durance), are set to return to in a late-October episode, TVGuide.com has learned exclusively. General Lane and Lucy were last seen in separate episodes during Season 4. The General, however, has been mentioned numerous times, including last season when Lois called to discuss her wedding to Clark (Tom Welling) while under a persuasive spell. Details on the duo's arrival are sparse, but we hope the General's return has something to do with Lex Luthor, who became the General's boss in the comic books. Ironside, 60, has appeared in such films as Top Gun, Total Recall and Starship Troopers, and he's voiced Darkseid (who happens to be Season 10's villain) in the Justice League and Superman animated series. List, 24, recently starred on ABC's Flashforward and recurs as Jane Sterling on Mad Men. Smallville's 10th and final season premieres Friday, Sept. 24 at 8/7c on the CW. Source Here

Smallville Plans 200th Episode as "One Big Event"

With Smallville entering its final season, fans have a lot to look forward to. Like Clark in the Super Suit. They can also get excited for the long-running show's 200th episode, which will air at some point later this year. Look for James Marsters to reprise his role as Brainiac that week, as he appears on an installment that producer Brian Peterson hypes as "one big event." Speaking to Fancast, Peterson added that fans will "have to wait for the last few minutes" for the episode's major fireworks and revelations. To Read More Click Here .

Smallville Casts Hawkgirl and Deadshot

Don't look for Smallville to slow down at all when it comes to adding characters from the DC Comics universe. Kryptonsite.com has reported that actors have been cast as notable DC characters Floyd Lawton and Shayera – AKA Deadshot and Hawkgirl. Playing Shayera will be Sahar Biniaz, a beauty pageant contestant who Kryptonsite notes had small roles in three previous Smallville episodes and in Watchmen. It's not clear if we'll see Shayera's Hawkgirl alter-ego in the episode she appears in, "Shield", which is the second of the season. That episode will also feature Michael Shanks reprising his role as Carter Hall, AKA Hawkman. Also still in question is whether Shayera will appear in the present or only in flashbacks. The character was previously referred to in the two-hour "Absolute Justice" episode, which introduced the Justice Society. To Read More Click Here .

'Smallville' Season 10 Trailer: Clark Takes Flight

The CW has prepared another trailer for "Smallville" season 10 beside the one played during the San Diego Comic Con last Sunday, July 25. Dubbed "Takes Off", the trailer sees Clark opening the black box containing the red blue ensemble that Superman is famous for and him taking flight across the Daily Planet globe. At the Con, writer Kelly Souders confirmed, "We will have a little bit of a wardrobe change." Brian Peterson also promised that fans will see Clark in the outfit. Rumor has it, the suit is the same one used by Brandon Routh in "Superman Returns", but actor Tom Welling admitted that he has not seen it. To Read More Click Here .

Smallville: Scoops from Season 10

Smallville executive producer Kelly Souders tells me "by the end of episode 3, Oliver's life is going to change forever." Uh oh. Might that mean that's the episode in which Smallville finally rights DC Comics lore and does away with the character of Chloe Sullivan (Allison Mack), who isn't a series regular this season? Could be, which would open the door to a romance between Oliver's Green Arrow and Black Canary, two super friends who end up together in the comics. Says Souders, "They're very fun together, but we're big Chlollie fans." Souders also told me she recently sent Michael Rosenbaum a dozen red roses and a private note in an attempt to sway him back as Lex Luthor before the series ends. "Nothing would be more exciting for us than to write for him again." Source Here
