I was a little apprehensive when I first heard the news that they were going to do another series in the Star Trek universe. We have had such a mixed bag of content based around the Star Trek universe over the last 15 years, some good, some bad.

So far, after three episodes, all I can say is WOW.... I am very pleased and extremely impressed, as much to say I think Gene would be loving this new series. Not only are the lead characters full of presence, but they are very believable; reinforced by a multifaceted gritty feel to them. No more cardboard cutout Capt. Janeway here.

The production quality of episode three is on par with motion pictures, and the series has a really bright future, maybe even to eclipse DS9 if it continues along this track.

My only criticism is of the new envisioned Klingon's, they go against everything I'm used to, both in looks and style, such a change of direction. Time will tell if it works, and I can't wait for the rest of Series one, it is freaking awesome so far!

Please watch this series, you will not regret it.
