Star Wars Rebels Season 1 Episode #03 – Droids In Distress Review

The opening two part storyline for Star Wars Rebels worked pretty well for me overall with what it could do while still providing a few nods to the younger set that made it accessible there. it’s a fine line to walk when it comes to pleasing both sides of the Star Wars fandom since so many older fans were kids when they first saw it but have treated it as something more than it was in some ways. This series hit some solid points in the Spark of the Rebellion storyline to bring Ezra into the group and to put him into training mode with Kanan in order to provide a little bit of time with Jedi knowledge and experience. 'Star Wars Rebels' Season 1, Episode 1 Recap: Classic duo help and hinder in 'Droids in Distress'

The first normal-length episode of “Rebels” opens with the Ghost making its escape from a Star Destroyer, as the crew laments their lack of resources and money. Former Jedi Padawan Kanan Jarrus (Freddie Prinze Jr.) suggests they steal some Imperial weapons for Lothal criminal Cikatro Vizago (Keith Szarabajka), despite Zeb (Steve Blum) having reservations about the idea. Recent recruit Ezra Bridger (Taylor Gray) is enthusiastic about the job, since it may free Kanan up to continue his Jedi training.
