'Supernatural': Eve meets Sam and Dean -- but what's her endgame?

In Friday's episode of "Supernatural," the Winchester Brothers will finally come face to face with Eve, the Mother of All. Though she's usually played by guest star Julia Maxwell, the villain will take on a different face this time -- she'll look like Mary (Samantha Smith), the boys' long-dead mother."It's not really Mary, and Sam and Dean know that. [She thinks] she'll be easier for the boys to talk to this way," executive producer Bob Singer tells Zap2it. "She thinks they can be persuaded because he is her mother."Luckily, Sam and Dean have had their mother's image used against them before -- Zachariah fully creeped us out when he told them he'd been hooking up with her in Heaven in Season 5. Eve's motivations remain a bit of a mystery as the season draws to a close. "She's here for a reason. Her kingdom is being messed with. If Crowley's running hell, and Cas is... //blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2011/04/supernatural-eve-meets-sam-and-dean----but-whats-her-endgame.html

'Supernatural' Preview: 6 Reasons Why You Can't Miss This Week's Rip-Roarin' Western Episode

You'd be hard-pressed to find a more fearless series currently on air than the CW's 'Supernatural'. Over the past six seasons, the dashing Winchester brothers have faced everything from Santa Claus to a spoof of Dr. McDreamy, but this Friday, they're facing a genre that few shows (or movies) dare to touch these days: The Western. 'Supernatural' already smashed the fourth wall with great aplomb earlier this season, but pulling off a believable Western on a TV budget would be a feat for any show without a premium cable network footing the bill. So it gives us great pleasure to report that, not only is 'Frontierland' gorgeous to look at, it's also one of the series' strongest episodes to date, providing humor and action while keeping up the momentum of the mythology as we approach the season finale. TV Squad was lucky enough to see an advanced screener of this Friday's wild Western episode, and we've managed to whittle down an hour of memorable moments into a list of six reasons why this episode is not to be missed. Proceed with caution, pilgrims: there are mild spoilers ahead. //www.tvsquad.com/2011/04/20/supernatural-preview-6-reasons-why-you-cant-miss-this-weeks/

'Supernatural' goes Western: What to expect when Sam and Dean go to 'Frontierland'

The legend of Samuel Colt has been part of "Supernatural" mythology since Season 1, when the Winchesters first procured the Colt .45 that would ultimately kill the Yellow-Eyed Demon. In Friday's episode, "Frontierland," we meet the man behind the myth when Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) go back in time for the third time. We got the chance to preview the episode, so here's the scoop on what's in store for you on Friday night at 9 p.m. EST on The CW.Yes, there are plenty of "Back to the Future: Part 3" references, just like we'd hoped -- including Dean calling himself Eastwood. In fact, the episode has a lot of really humorous moments. Most mythology-heavy episodes tend to steer away from the humor, but this episode perfectly balances laughs with high-stakes drama. Dean's sheer delight at the opportunity to explore the Old West is a blast to watch -- especially because we... //blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2011/04/supernatural-goes-western-what-to-expect-when-sam-and-dean-go-to-frontierland.html
