The sixteen castaways, already divided into the two tribes of Boran and Samburu, are dropped off in the middle of a remote area of Kenya and given a common set of supplies and maps to their camps, requiring them to carry whatever supplies they can. The camps are pre-made fenced enclosures to help protect them from wild animals, and require the tribes to keep a fire going and at least two players on watch.
