Stroud searches Klemtu, a wilderness-heavy Indian reserve on the fjord-filled coast of British Columbia. Here, sightings by residents date back generations, especially on Klemtu Hill, an old volcano that’s considered a sacred area. Stroud knows that this 900-pound creature must leave a trail, and he goes in search of it. What he finds is an enormous territory where a large animal could exist, undisturbed, for unknown periods of time.
