Scott Experiences His First Transformation on 'Teen Wolf' Premiere (VIDEO)

MTV kicked off their re-imagining of 'Teen Wolf' (Sun., 11PM ET on MTV) on a special night, after the '2011 MTV Movie Awards.' The show shifts to its regular night and time with its second episode, on Monday, June 6 at 10PM ET. If you missed the premiere, you can watch it in its entirety on the show's website. Considering how well the 'Twilight' franchise does at the annual 'MTV Movie Awards,' the network was smart in styling this new werewolf saga more after the heartthrobs and heartache of the movie series than the basketball shenanigans of the Michael J. Fox movie it gets its name from. //www.aoltv.com/2011/06/06/scott-first-transformation-teen-wolf-premiere-video/

'Teen Wolf' EP talks comparisons to 'Vampire Diaries' and 'Twilight'

"What?! MTV is remaking 'Teen Wolf'? Why?"Raise your hand if that was your reaction when you heard MTV would be rebooting the '80s movie "Teen Wolf" as an hour-long drama. Don't worry, our hand is raised, too. After talking with the show's creator Jeff Davis ("Criminal Minds") and watching the first episode, we've changed our tune, which now sounds like, "Why didn't they think of this sooner?"This isn't your parents' "Teen Wolf" -- it's sexy, it's scary, there's less fur, there's no basketball or van surfing -- and that's a good thing. In fact, Davis compares the series to different '80s classic "The Lost Boys," something we wholeheartedly agree with. Because the show centers on a werewolf, we had to ask Davis how the show compares to other wolf-fare on TV, namely "The Vampire Diaries" and "True Blood." We were also curious to hear why they decided to keep the "Teen Wolf" name and if he... //blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2011/06/teen-wolf-ep-talks-comparisons-to-vampire-diaries-and-twilight.html

'Teen Wolf': Watch the first 8 minutes of the premiere

Three days. What's in three days, you ask? The premiere of MTV's highly-anticipated reboot of the '80s classic "Teen Wolf." (Van-surfing and basketball not included.)MTV has released the first eight minutes of the premiere episode, in which we meet two of the show's characters -- Scott (Tyler Posey) and Stiles (Dylan O'Brien), who fans of the original movie may remember. This time around, Scott is a lacrosse player with asthma and Stiles, well, he's still a goof and just as much fun. Anyone else getting a Seth Cohen vibe? No, just us? OK, moving on.So, what do we learn from the eight minute preview? This isn't your parents' "Teen Wolf " -- This version is much darker and sleeker and the kids are much more morbid. (Seriously -- they head into the woods to look for the other half of a dead girl's body. Spoiler Alert! Scott finds it.) We also see the wolf bite Scott,... //blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2011/06/teen-wolf-watch-the-first-8-minutes-of-the-premiere.html

'Teen Wolf': Watch the First Eight Minutes of MTV's Reboot (Video)

MTV has released the first eight minutes of its reboot of  Teen Wolf , which is getting prime real estate Sunday night after the MTV Movie Awards. The Hollywood Reporter  recently chatted with MTV exec  David Janollari  about the reasoning behind adapting the  Teen Wolf  movie for the small screen. With MTV ramping up its scripted slate (it has recently aired the controversial  Skins  and  The Hard Times of R.J. Berger ), Janollari said  Teen Wolf  is an appropriate title for their target audience: the millennials. "They watch movies; they watch entertainment on the Internet," Janollari explained. "Our idea is to offer original series programming in whatever form it takes to this audience with the core brand of DNA of what's relevant to their lives."
