The Big Bang Theory 5.18 Review 'Sheldon Embraces Chaos'

One of the most amusing character traits about Sheldon Cooper is his obsessive need to stick to his routines. Of course, what’s amusing to a few is just as frustrating to everyone else as the man can’t do anything outside of its planned day or without the right person. When Sheldon’s regular barber winds up in the hospital it winds up leading him down a path to his own version of unplanned chaos. The merits of Sheldon taking a break from his usual way of acting can be argued, but it’s always fun to get to see Jim Parsons do something on the show that he hasn’t before. You can clearly see him enjoying himself in scenes such as Sheldon up at three in the morning disruptively playing bongos. It also gave Leonard the chance to finally get to call out the roommate agreement on Sheldon for a change even if it was reliably dismissed by the latter’s logic about no rules existing within chaos. When this new Sheldon even started to annoy Amy it became clear that someone had to lay down the law and at least have him get his hair cut which was what started the madness in the first place. As usual, it’s Penny who convinces Sheldon to let her do it and things go well enough until…well, let’s just hope that Sheldon can remain oblivious to the patch shaved out of the back of his head. The Big Bang Theory Review: Call of the Wild Sheldon

Move over Matthew McConaughey there is a new late night bongo player in town and his name is Sheldon Cooper! While " The Werewolf Transformation " wasn't the most hysterically funny episode we have gotten, it did explore some fun areas of our favorite geeks. I knew when Sheldon attempted to blow one day’s extra hair growth out of his eyes, and more so when he attempted to get a comatose barber to cut his hair, that he was going to have the same reaction to missing his haircut schedule that he has when any of his normal routines are messed up – go absolutely bat-crap crazy . The Big Bang Theory “The Werewolf Transformation” Review

When Sheldon’s barber ended up in the hospital  in "The Werewolf  Transformation," this week’s episode of  The Big Bang Theory , Sheldon had to make a huge decision: let someone else cut his hair  or let it grow wild? Of course, "wild" to Sheldon is a milimeter’s worth of growth which he kept hilariously trying to flick out of his eyes throughout the episode . Jim Parsons is a genius at physical comedy as addition to being a master at the dead-pan delivery of even the most outrageous lines. The crux of his problem, however, wasn’t the fact  that his hair was going wild, but the fact that six days past the time he should have had it cut, nothing bad had happened. Suddenly he realized that all of his rigid schedules and OCD-esque behavior might not matter a hill of beans. His world was crumbling around him, leading to anarchy such as Tuesday pajamas being worn on a day other than Tuesday and the bongos being played at three a.m., much to Leonard and Penny’s despair.
